Abstract

The MEDIA CONTENT BASED ADVERTISING SURVEY PLATFORM APPARATUSES AND SYSTEMS (“AD-SURVEY”) transforms user advertisement exposure data via AD-SURVEY components, into ad effects data including user responses to survey questions. A system is disclosed, comprising: a memory; a processor disposed in communication with said memory, and configured to issue a plurality of processing instructions executable by a processor for obtaining TV program schedule listing data including a plurality of ad tags at a server; providing the obtained TV program schedule listing data to a user mobile device, receiving a user media program selection message from the user mobile device; retrieving an ad tag associated with the user selected media program from the TV program schedule listing data; querying a survey question list based on key terms extracted from ad contents; generating and sending a survey question to the user mobile device; and obtaining a user reaction to the survey question.

Claims (57)

1. A media content based survey distribution and collection system, comprising:

a memory;

a processor disposed in communication with said memory, and configured to issue a plurality of processing instructions stored in the memory, wherein the processor issues instructions to:

obtain TV program schedule listing data including a plurality of ad tags at a server;

provide the obtained TV program schedule listing data to a user mobile device;

receive real-time a user media program selection message from the user mobile device;

retrieve an ad tag associated with the user selected media program from the TV program schedule listing data;

determine a timestamp associated with the retrieved ad tag indicating an air time of an ad segment played during the user selected media program;

extract key terms from the ad tag by parsing ad contents;

query a survey question list database based on the extracted key terms;

generate and send a survey question from the query to the user mobile device in synchronization with the ad segment based on the timestamp when the ad segment is being performed during the user selected media program; and

obtain a user reaction to the survey question.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the ad tag is related to an advertisement played during a commercial break associated with the user selected media program.

3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the ad tag is related to an embedded ad placed in a scene of the user selected media program.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the ad tag further comprises a timestamp of an ad, and information related to the advertised item.

5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor further issues instructions to:

determine a category of an advertised item based on the extracted key terms.

6. The system of claim 5 , wherein the processor further issues instructions to:

retrieve survey questions from the survey question list database based on the determined category.

7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the generated survey question is sent to the user mobile device shortly after a timestamp of the ad tag.

8. The system of claim 1 , wherein the survey question is synchronized with the ad tag.

9. The system of claim 1 , wherein the survey question comprises a multiple choice question.

10. The system of claim 1 , wherein the survey question comprises a URL to a merchant shopping site.

11. The system of claim 1 , wherein the user reaction to the survey question comprises a submission of an answer to the survey question.

12. The system of claim 1 , wherein the user reaction to the survey question comprises a click on a URL provided in the survey question.

13. The system of claim 1 , wherein the survey question is generated based on ad tags in a user's recent viewing history.

14. The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor further issues instructions to provide incentive rewards to a user after receiving an answer to the survey question.

15. The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor further issues instructions to analyze ad delivery and effects.

16. The system of claim 15 , wherein the processor further issues instructions to:

assign a weighing score to the user reaction to the survey question.

17. The system of claim 16 , wherein the weighing score is determined based on a type of the user reaction.

18. The system of claim 16 , wherein the weighing score is determined based on a user's answer to the survey question.

19. The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor further issues instructions to:

obtain user advertisement exposure data from any of mobile metering, social media, and URL capturing.

20. A media content based survey distribution and collection processor-readable non-transitory medium storing processor-executable instructions to:

obtain TV program schedule listing data including a plurality of ad tags at a server;

provide the obtained TV program schedule listing data to a user mobile device;

receive a real-time user media program selection message sent by said user from the user mobile device;

retrieve an ad tag associated with the user selected media program from the TV program schedule listing data;

determine a timestamp associated with the retrieved a tag indicating an air time of an ad segment played during the user selected media program;

extract key terms from the ad tags based by parsing ad contents;

query a survey question list database based on the extracted key terms;

generate and send a survey question from the query to the user mobile device in synchronization with the ad segment based on the timestamp when the ad segment is being performed during the user selected media program; and

obtain a user reaction to the survey question.

21. A media content based survey distribution and collection system, comprising:

a memory;

a processor disposed in communication with said memory, and configured to issue a plurality of processing instructions stored in the memory, wherein the processor issues instructions to:

obtain TV program schedule listing data including a plurality of ad tags at a server, each ad tag representing an advertisement played during a commercial break of a user selected media program;

provide the obtained TV program schedule listing data including the plurality of ad tags to a user mobile device communicatively coupled to an infrared TV remote control component, the infrared TV remote control component being configured to send TV channel remote control messages to a TV set;

receive real-time at the server a user media program selection message sent by the user from the user mobile device, the user media program selection message indicating a TV channel remote control message has been sent to the TV set via the infrared TV remote control component;

retrieve an ad tag associated with the user selected media program from the TV program schedule listing data;

determine a timestamp associated with the retrieved a tag indicating an air time of an ad segment played during the user selected media program;

extract key terms from the ad tags based by parsing ad contents;

query a survey question list database based on the extracted key terms;

generate and send a survey question from the query to the user mobile device in synchronization with the ad segment based on the timestamp when the ad segment is being performed during the user selected media program;

obtain a user reaction to the survey question; and

automatically populate a social media feed including the survey question and the user reaction to the survey question to a social media account associated with the user.
