Abstract

An exhaust gas purification system comprises an exhaust gas purification device which is arranged in an exhaust gas route of an engine, renewing devices, for burning and removing a particulate matter within the exhaust gas purification device, renewal advance notifying means which is actuated in the case that a clogged state of the exhaust gas purification device becomes equal to or more than a prescribed level, and renewal informing means which informs of a fact that the renewing devices are under operation. The renewal advance notifying means is actuated before actuating the renewing devices.

Claims (24)

1. An exhaust gas purification system for an engine of a working vehicle, the engine having a plurality of fuel injection valves and a plurality of cylinders, the plurality of fuel injection valves being supplied by a common fuel rail, the system comprising:

an exhaust gas purification device configured to be coupled by at least a pipe to an exhaust manifold of said engine so as to receive exhaust gas from the engine;

a controller configured to control fuel injection pressure, injection timing, and an injection period of the plurality of fuel injection valves of the plurality of cylinders according to a renewal mode of operation during which a renewing operation is performed in the exhaust gas purification device using the exhaust gas exiting the plurality cylinders and received at the exhaust gas purification device;

means for detecting that a clogged state of the exhaust gas purification device is equal to or more than a prescribed level;

renewal advance notifying means for providing to an operator of the working vehicle advance notice of the renewing operation in response to said detecting means detecting said clogged state; and

renewal informing means for indicating to said operator that the renewing operation is in progress; and

wherein the controller is configured so that the renewal advance notifying means provides said advance notice before the controller causes the renewing operation to begin;

wherein the renewal advance notifying means and the renewal informing means are constructed by a single display device having a first configuration for providing said advance notice and a second configuration for indicating that the renewing operation is in progress;

wherein in response to determining that the clogging state of the exhaust gas purification device reaches or exceeds a prescribed level, renewal advance notice of the auxiliary renewal mode, where the temperature of the exhaust gas is raised, is performed by blinking the display device light;

wherein in response to determining that either one or both of the clogging state of the exhaust gas purification device does not improve even with the performance of the auxiliary renewal mode, or the cumulative operation time of the engine exceeds a prescribed amount, renewal advance notice of the reset renewal mode, in which fuel is supplied into the exhaust gas purification device by post injection, is performed by blinking the display device light;

wherein said controller manages a reset renewing mode during which fuel is supplied into the exhaust gas purification device by post injection during said renewing operation, and wherein the controller is further configured to manage an emergency renewing mode in response to determining that the clogged state of the exhaust gas purification device is not improved by executing said reset renewing mode, the controller being configured to cause fuel to be supplied into the exhaust gas purification device by the post injection and to maintain a rotating speed of the engine at a predetermined value during said emergency renewing mode; and

wherein in response to determining that one of the above renewal modes is being performed, the display device light is turned on to indicate that a renewing operation is in progress.

2. The exhaust gas purification system according to claim 1 , further comprising renewal inhibition input means which inhibits a renewing motion of the exhaust gas purification device, wherein

the renewing device is not actuated under inhibiting operation of the renewal inhibition input means, regardless of the clogged state of the exhaust gas purification device.

3. The exhaust gas purification system according to claim 2 , further comprising renewal inhibition informing means which is actuated under inhibiting operation of the renewal inhibition input means.

4. The exhaust gas purification system according to claim 1 , further comprising renewal admittance input means for enabling and disabling the controller to trigger a renewing operation of the emergency renewing mode.

5. The exhaust gas purification system according to claim 4 , further comprising a parking brake for the working vehicle,

wherein the controller is configured to prevent the renewing operation of the emergency renewing mode while the parking brake is not providing a braked state of the vehicle.

6. The exhaust gas purification system according to claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to change a mode to a normal driving mode after said renewing operation of said emergency renewing mode in response to determining that the clogged state of the exhaust gas purification device is improved.

8. The exhaust gas purification system according to claim 4 , wherein the controller is configured to change a mode to a normal driving mode after said renewing operation of said emergency renewing mode in response to determining that the clogged state of the exhaust gas purification device is improved.

9. The exhaust gas purification system according to claim 5 , wherein the controller is configured to change a mode to a normal driving mode after said renewing operation of said emergency renewing mode in response to determining that the clogged state of the exhaust gas purification device is improved.

10. The exhaust gas purification system according to claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to determine either one or both of an amount of intake air and an amount of said exhaust gas for a renewing operation and to trigger a change to said amount of intake air and said amount of exhaust gas during said renewing operation during which particulate matter within the exhaust gas purification device is burned and removed.
