Abstract

A method of transmitting a control signal using efficient multiplexing is disclosed. The present invention includes the steps of multiplexing a plurality of 1-bit control signals within a prescribed time-frequency domain by code division multiple access (CDMA) and transmitting the multiplexed control signals, wherein a plurality of the 1-hit control signals include a plurality of the 1-bit control signals for a specific transmitting side. Accordingly, reliability on 1-bit control signal transmission can be enhanced.

Claims (34)

1. A method for transmitting acknowledgement/non-acknowledgment (ACK/NACK) information, the method performed by a base station and comprising:

multiplexing multiple ACK/NACKs into an ACK/NACK group by using orthogonal codes, wherein the orthogonal codes distinguish the multiple ACK/NACKs within the ACK/NACK group from each other; and

transmitting the ACK/NACK group to a user equipment (UE), through, each of a fixed number of multiple resource sets which are distributed from each other along a frequency axis in a subframe,

wherein each of the multiple resource sets occupies a predetermined number of subcarriers and one orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol,

wherein, when one OFDM symbol is used in one subframe for transmitting the ACK/NACK group, the multiple resource sets are distributed within the one OFDM symbol,

wherein, when two OFDM symbols are used in one subframe for transmitting the ACK/NACK group, the multiple resource sets are distributed across the two OFDM symbols alternately along the frequency axis, and

wherein a same fixed number of multiple resource sets is used for a case when one OFDM symbol is used for transmitting the ACK/NACK group and for a case when two OFDM symbols are used for transmitting the ACK/NACK group.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein each of the multiple resource sets occupies a predetermined number of closest available subcarriers.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the multiple ACK/NACKs are multiplexed by further using phase components orthogonal to each other.

4. The method of claim 3 , wherein the multiple ACK/NACKs within the ACK/NACK group are further distinguished by the phase components.

5. The method of claim 1 , wherein when two OFDM symbols are used in one subframe for transmitting the ACK/NACK group, an even-numbered resource set among the multiple resource sets exists in a first OFDM symbol of the two OFDM symbols, and an odd-numbered resource set among the multiple resource sets exists in a second OFDM symbol of the two OFDM symbols.

6. The method of claim 1 , wherein when two OFDM symbols are used in one subframe for transmitting the ACK/NACK group, the multiple resource sets are distributed across the two OFDM symbols alternately along the frequency axis, such that

a first resource set among the multiple resource sets exists in a first frequency location of the frequency axis in a first one of the two OFDM symbols,

a second resource set among the multiple resource sets exists in a second frequency location following the first frequency location in a second one of the two OFDM symbols, and

a third resource set among the multiple resource sets exists in a third frequency location following the second frequency location in the first one of the two OFDM symbols.

7. The method of claim 6 , wherein the first frequency location, the second frequency location and the third frequency location are separate from each other along the frequency axis.

8. The method of claim 1 , wherein a number of OFDM symbols used in one subframe for transmitting the ACK/NACK group is configured by a higher layer above a physical layer.

9. A method for receiving acknowledgement/non-acknowledgment (ACK/NACK) information, the method performed by a user equipment (UE) and comprising:

receiving an ACK/NACK group from a base station, through each of a fixed number of multiple resource sets which are distributed from each other along a frequency axis in a subframe,

wherein each of the multiple resource sets occupies a predetermined number of subcarriers and one orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol; and

demultiplexing the ACK/NACK group into multiple ACK/NACKs by using orthogonal codes, wherein the orthogonal codes distinguish the multiple ACK/NACKs within the ACK/NACK group from each other,

wherein, when one OFDM symbol is used in one subframe for transmitting the ACK/NACK group, the multiple resource sets are distributed within the one OFDM symbol,

wherein, when two OFDM symbols are used in one subframe for transmitting the ACK/NACK group, the multiple resource sets are distributed across the two OFDM symbols alternately along the frequency axis, and

wherein a same fixed number of multiple resource sets is used for a case when one OFDM symbol is used for transmitting the ACK/NACK group and for a case when two OFDM symbols are used for transmitting the ACK/NACK group.

10. The method of claim 9 , wherein each of the multiple resource sets occupies a predetermined number of closest available subcarriers.

11. The method of claim 9 , wherein the multiple ACK/NACKs are multiplexed by further using phase components orthogonal to each other.

12. The method of claim 11 , wherein the multiple ACK/NACKs within the ACK/NACK group are further distinguished by the phase components.

13. The method of claim 9 , wherein when two OFDM symbols are used in one subframe for transmitting the ACK/NACK group, an even-numbered resource set among the multiple resource sets exists in a first OFDM symbol of the two OFDM symbols, and an odd-numbered resource set among the multiple resource sets exists in a second OFDM symbol of the two OFDM symbols.

14. The method of claim 9 , wherein when two OFDM symbols are used in one subframe for transmitting the ACK/NACK group, the multiple resource sets are distributed across the two OFDM symbols alternately along the frequency axis, such that

a first resource set among the multiple resource sets exists in a first frequency location of the frequency axis in a first one of the two OFDM symbols,

a second resource set among the multiple resource sets exists in a second frequency location following the first frequency location in a second one of the two OFDM symbols, and

a third resource set among the multiple resource sets exists in a third frequency location following the second frequency location in the first one of the two OFDM symbols.

15. The method of claim 14 , wherein the first frequency location, the second frequency location and the third frequency location are separate from each other along the frequency axis.

16. The method of claim 9 , wherein a number of OFDM symbols used in one subframe for transmitting the ACK/NACK group is configured by a higher layer above a physical layer.
