Abstract

Implementations described and claimed herein provide a personal tactical system configured to be worn by an individual for protection against threats. In one implementation, the personal tactical system includes one or more internal components disposed in an interior formed by an outer layer and an inner layer. The internal components include a flexible body armor, a ballistic plate, a ballistic frame, and/or a ballistic plate cover.

Claims (29)

1. A tactical system comprising:

a bottom edge disposed opposite a top edge;

a set of side edges extending linearly from the bottom edge;

a set of tapered edges connecting the set of side edges to the top edge, the set of tapered edges, the set of side edges, the top edge, and the bottom edge forming a peripheral edge of a frame body sized and shaped for receipt into a pocket formed by a first side of a protective vest exposed to an outside environment and a second side facing inwardly, the frame body configured to provide independent structural support to the protective vest.

2. The tactical system of claim 1 , wherein the frame body has one or more openings defined therein.

3. The tactical system of claim 2 , wherein the one or more openings includes a first set of openings vertically aligned and a second set of openings vertically aligned, the first set of openings and the second set of openings being symmetrical.

4. The tactical system of claim 2 , wherein the one or more openings includes a first opening horizontally aligned with and symmetrical to a second opening.

5. The tactical system of claim 1 , wherein the frame body is further configured to support a load.

6. The tactical system of claim 1 , wherein the frame body is planar.

7. A tactical system comprising:

a frame body extending between a peripheral edge, the peripheral edge formed by a set of side edges connecting a top edge to a bottom edge, the peripheral edge defining a size and a shape of the frame body mirroring a coverage area, the frame body receivable into an interior formed by a first side exposed to an outside environment and a second side facing inwardly, the interior disposed relative to the coverage area, the frame body configured to provide independent structural support to the first side and the second side.

8. The tactical system of claim 7 , wherein the frame body is planar.

9. The tactical system of claim 7 , wherein the frame body extends along one or more curves.

10. The tactical system of claim 7 , wherein the coverage area includes a chest area or a back area.

11. The tactical system of claim 7 , wherein the frame body is further configured to support a load.

12. The tactical system of claim 7 , wherein the frame body is made from a force dissipating material.

13. The tactical system of claim 12 , wherein the force dissipating material includes at least one of: a polyethylene material, an ABS plastic material, or an aramid fiber material.

14. The tactical system of claim 7 , wherein the frame body has one or more openings defined therein.

15. The tactical system of claim 14 , wherein the one or more openings includes a first set of openings vertically aligned and a second set of openings vertically aligned, the first set of openings and the second set of openings being symmetrical.

16. The tactical system of claim 14 , wherein the one or more openings includes a first opening horizontally aligned with and symmetrical to a second opening.

17. The tactical system of claim 14 , wherein a shape configuration of the one or more openings includes at least one of: asymmetrical, symmetrical, circular, square, rectangular, hexagonal, contoured, angled, or polygonal.

18. The tactical system of claim 7 , wherein the size and the shape are further defined based on ergonomics of a wearer corresponding to the coverage area.

19. The tactical system of claim 7 , wherein the set of side edges include a set of tapered edges connected to the top edge.

20. A tactical system comprising:

a bottom edge disposed opposite a top edge;

a set of side edges extending linearly from the bottom edge;

a set of tapered edges connecting the set of side edges to the top edge, the set of tapered edges, the set of side edges, the top edge, and the bottom edge forming a peripheral edge of a frame body, the frame body being planar;

a first set of openings defined in the frame body, the first set of openings being vertically aligned;

a second set of openings defined in the frame body, the second set of openings being vertically aligned, the first set of openings and the second set of openings being symmetrical, the frame body sized and shaped for receipt into a pocket formed by a first side of a protective vest exposed to an outside environment and a second side facing inwardly, the frame body configured to provide independent structural support to the protective vest.
