Method for attaching a mobile equipment to a wireless communication network
View Patent ↗The invention provides a method and device which may perform a combined attach and communication connection establishment procedure when attaching (S 1 ) an equipment such as a mobile station to a mobile communication network. An attach request sent form the equipment may initiate this combined attach and communication connection establishment process (S 2 ). In the Home Location Register, communication connection parameters are set as default values which may be automatically selected (S 4 ), for instance when receiving a combined attach and communication connection establishment request. The combined attach and communication connection establishment process reduces the signaling load in the network and speeds up communication connection establishment.
1. A method comprising:
sending an attach request to a network, wherein the attach request is configured to trigger a create communication connection default procedure with a gateway device;
receiving a radio bearer establishment request;
establishing a radio bearer; and
generating a bearer establishment response.
2. A method according to claim 1 , wherein the method is performed by a mobile station or a user equipment.
3. A method according to claim 1 , wherein the attach request comprises a data field specifying a desired type of attachment.
4. A method comprising:
sending an attach request configured to
attach a mobile device to a network,
trigger a create communication connection default procedure with a gateway device in response to the attach request, and
generate a radio bearer establishment request;
receiving a message to establish a radio bearer; and
sending a bearer establishment response.
5. A method comprising:
receiving an attach request to attach a mobile device to a network;
triggering a create communication connection default procedure with a gateway device in response to the attach request;
generating a radio bearer establishment request;
establishing a radio bearer; and
receiving a bearer establishment response.
6. A method according to claim 4 , wherein the method is performed by a mobile station or a user equipment.
7. A method according to claim 4 , wherein the attach request comprises a data field specifying a desired type of attachment.
8. A method according to claim 5 , wherein the method is performed by a support node.
9. A method according to claim 5 , wherein the attach request comprises a data field specifying a desired type of attachment.
