ACTION FUNCTIONALITY FOR MOBILE CONTENT SEARCH RESULTS
In embodiments of the present invention improved capabilities are described for receiving a search query from a mobile communication facility, retrieving at least one search result associated with the search query, associating a selectable action command with the at least one search result, and presenting the at least one search result in association with the selectable action command to the mobile communication facility. Actions such as making a purchase, previewing content, finding content related to the search result, placing a phone call associated with the search result, mapping a location, and the like may be based at least in part on the type of content associated with the search result. Third parties such as advertisers may bid to associate an action command of their choice to a search result, resulting in a sponsored action command being presented to the mobile communication facility.
1 . A method comprising:
receiving a search query from a mobile communication facility;
retrieving at least one search result associated with the search query;
associating a selectable action command with the at least one search result; and
presenting the at least one search result in association with the selectable action command to the mobile communication facility.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the action is a plurality of actions

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the action is a content preview.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the action is to find a content related to the search result.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the action is to place a phone call associated with the search result.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the action is to map a location.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the action is to forward the search result.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the action is to save the search result.
10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the forwarded search result is sent to an email address.
11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the action is related to the type of content associated with the search result.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the type of content associated with the search result is based at least in part on a search vertical.
13 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the search vertical is general search.
14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the search vertical is related to ringtones.
15 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the search vertical is related to images.
16 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the search vertical is related to games.

a receiving facility adapted to receive a search query from a mobile communication facility;
a retrieving facility adapted to retrieve at least one search result associated with the search query;
an association facility adapted to associate a selectable action command with the at least one search result; and
a presentation facility adapted to present the at least one search result in association with the selectable action command to the mobile communication facility.
