TARGETING MOBILE SPONSORED CONTENT WITHIN A SOCIAL NETWORK
In embodiments of the present invention improved capabilities are described for receiving wireless provider data associated with a first mobile communication facility, determining a relationship between the first mobile communication facility and a third party based at least on the wireless provider data, and establishing a social network based at least in part on the relationship between the first mobile communication facility and a plurality of third parties using the wireless provider data that may be associated with the mobile communication facility, where a level of influence of a social network user may be assessed at least in part based on social network activity, and sponsored content delivered to the user's mobile communication facility based at least in part on the level of influence.
1 . A method comprising:
receiving wireless provider data associated with a first mobile communication facility;
determining a relationship between the first mobile communication facility and a third party based at least on the wireless provider data; and
establishing a social network based at least in part on the relationship between the first mobile communication facility and a plurality of third parties using the wireless provider data that is associated with the mobile communication facility.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless provider data is based at least in part on content relationships relating to the progression of a user session.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless provider data is based at least in part on content discovery of new websites.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless provider data is based at least in part on access statistics.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless provider data is based at least in part on usage statistics.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless provider data relates to a stage in an online buying process based at least in part on a mobile content type that is being accessed.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless provider data is based at least in part on a user's interaction with a website following conversion of a content item.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the wireless provider data is based at least in part on a navigation request received from the mobile communication facility.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the third party is another mobile communication facility.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the third party is an online merchant.
11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the third party is an offline merchant.
12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the third party is an email account.
13 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the third party is a landline telephone.
14 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the third party is a ground address.
15 . A method comprising:
identifying social network activity that is made in conjunction with a mobile communication facility based at least in part on wireless provider data;
assessing a level of influence of a social network user associated with the mobile communication facility based at least in part on the social network activity; and
providing a sponsored content to the user's mobile communication facility based at least in part on the level of influence.
16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the level of influence relates to a number of outgoing messages sent within the network.
17 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the level of influence relates to a number of incoming messages received from the network.
18 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the level of influence relates to a type of message sent within the network.
19 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the level of influence relates to a frequency of social network usage.
20 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the level of influence relates to a mobile subscriber characteristic.
21 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the level of influence relates to a contextual information associated with a website visited by the user.
22 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the level of influence relates to a user transaction.
23 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the level of influence relates to a usage history.
24 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the level of influence relates to a location.
25 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the sponsored content is an advertisement.
