PLAYER GAMING CONSOLE, GAMING MACHINE, NETWORKED GAMING METHOD

1 . A method for providing networked gaming, the method comprising:

providing one or more player console devices, wherein a player console device presents one or more wagering games to a player;

providing a system gaming server connected to the one or more player console devices via a network, wherein the system gaming server administrates one or more wagering games at one or more player console devices;

enabling an activation system for recognizing at least one trigger that causes the system gaming server to offer a tournament gaming opportunity to a player at one or more console player console devices, wherein a player console device includes a rewards level accumulator, a promotional cash level component, a game selector interface, and a game initiator component;

apprising a player as to a level that the player has achieved including player eligibility;

enabling promotional cash to be available to transfer to the game;

presenting additional game selections to be viewed by a player; and

enabling a player to initiate a bonus game.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: enabling a game eligibility illuminator that indicates progress towards eligibility for the bonus game.

The method of claim 2 , wherein the game eligibility illuminator includes one or more light sections that illuminate upon a playing threshold being achieved by a player, and wherein the game initiator component illuminates and enables the player to play the bonus game upon each light section being illuminated.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the reward level accumulator indicates the level achieved by a player, the level determining a paytable associated with the bonus game.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the bonus game is a bingo game.

6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: providing a rewards level and bonus game eligibility information a using pre-bonus game, wherein the rewards level corresponds to a wagering level of the player, and wherein the bonus game eligibility corresponds to a frequency of a primary game play.

7 . A method for providing networked gaming, the method comprising:

providing one or more player console devices, wherein a player console device presents one or more wagering games to a player;

providing a system gaming server connected to the one or more player console devices via a network, wherein the system gaming server administrates one or more wagering games at one or more player console devices; and

enabling an activation system for recognizing at least one trigger that causes the system gaming server to offer a tournament gaming opportunity to a player at one or more console player console devices;

presenting a bonus game to a player administrated by the system game server on one or more player console devices upon initiation by the activation system, wherein the bonus game includes a set of thresholds achievable by play of the base game, and wherein upon each of the thresholds being met, the presented bonus game is enabled for game play by the player.

8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the bonus game includes a bingo game with a set of bingo cards, the set of bingo cards being initially covered, the method further comprising:

at least partially uncovering one or more of the bingo cards, upon achieving one of the thresholds;

uncovering all of the bingo cards upon achieving all of the thresholds;

determining and illuminating a set of bingo card numbers on each of the bingo cards;

providing the bingo game with a set of selectable numbers, wherein a subset of the selectable numbers are selected and corresponding locations on the bingo cards are designated; and

providing an award in the event that one or more sets of bingo card numbers are matched by the subset of the selectable numbers.

9 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising: identifying an available bonus game and information for a player to activate the game using a player information system.

10 . The method as in claim 9 , wherein the player informational system provides information about the awards associated with each bingo card, and wherein potential awards comprise player points for one or more identified winning bingo cards and comprise a monetary amount for other identified of the winning bingo cards.

11 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the bonus game comprising a poker game, wherein upon achieving one of the thresholds, a face down playing card is generated, wherein upon achieving all of the thresholds, a full hand of face down playing cards is complete and the bonus game is enabled, and wherein the playing cards are shown place up and an award is provided based on any winning hands associated with the play table.

12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the gaming apparatus main display includes a player information system, the method further comprising:

causing the player information system to be provided to the player, wherein the bonus game comprising a poker game;

displaying information about requirements to activate the bonus game;

displaying information about the awards associated with each winning hand of cards;

determining a winning award, wherein the winning award comprises either player point or monetary values or a combination thereof depending upon the winning hand of cards.

13 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising: displaying a partially face down playing card and associating the partially face down playing card with player progress towards an achieving a threshold, the partially appearing playing card being complete upon the player achieving the threshold.

14 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising:

providing information about an outcome of bonus game play; and

in the event of a winning result, enabling one or more players to receive an award using an award distribution system.

15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the award distribution system includes a player identification system that enables player identification, a withdrawal system that enables a player to withdraw a portion of a player's winnings, and a status system that presents player information on the status of a withdrawal.

16 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising providing an advertising system, wherein the advertising system includes information about game play and potential awards.

17 . A method for providing networked gaming, the method comprising:

one or more player console devices, wherein a player console device presents one or more wagering games to a player;

a system gaming server connected to the one or more player console devices via a network, wherein the system gaming server administrates one or more wagering games at one or more player console devices; and

an activation system for recognizing at least one trigger that causes the system gaming server to offer a tournament gaming opportunity to a player at one or more console player console devices;

wherein a player console device includes a rewards level accumulator to apprise a player as to a level that the player has achieved including player eligibility; and a game initiator component that enables a player to initiate a bonus game.

18 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising: providing a game eligibility illuminator, wherein the game eligibility illuminator indicates progress towards eligibility for the bonus game.

19 . The method of claim 18 , wherein the game eligibility illuminator includes one or more light sections that illuminate upon a playing threshold being achieved by a player, and wherein the game initiator component illuminates and enables the player to play the bonus game upon each light section being illuminated.

20 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the reward level accumulator indicates the level achieved by a player, the level determining a paytable associated with the bonus game.

21 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the bonus game is a bingo game.

22 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising: providing a rewards level and bonus game eligibility information using a pre-bonus game, wherein the rewards level corresponds to a wagering level of the player, and wherein the bonus game eligibility corresponds to a frequency of a primary game play.
