Abstract

In embodiments, the present invention provides a method and system for receiving a navigation request from a mobile communication facility, receiving an indicator input, dynamically creating a content based at least in part on an association of the navigation request and the indicator input, and presenting the dynamically created content to the mobile communication facility

Claims (75)

1 . A method of targeted delivery of advertising on a mobile communication facility, the method comprising the steps of:

receiving a first navigation request from the mobile communication facility operated by a user, wherein the first navigation request comprises an action by the user with the mobile communication facility;

receiving a first indicator input;

dynamically creating a first content based at least in part on an association of the first navigation request and the first indicator input, wherein the first content includes at least one graphical element;

transmitting the dynamically created first content to the mobile communication facility for presentation thereon;

receiving a second navigation request from the mobile communication facility, wherein the second navigation request comprises an interaction by the user with the first content;

receiving a second indicator input;

dynamically creating a second content different from the first content, wherein creation of the second content includes selection of the at least one graphical element for insertion into the second content, wherein creation of the second content is based at least in part on an association of the second navigation request and the second indicator input; and

transmitting the dynamically created second content to the mobile communication facility for presentation thereon.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first navigation request is one or more of:

(a) a search query;

(b) a domain name entry;

(c) a web browser action;

(d) a menu action;

(e) a folder selection;

(f) a transaction; and

(g) an advertisement conversion.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first or second indicator input is one of a previous location and a current location of the mobile communication facility as determined by one of GPS and triangulation.

4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the first or second indicator input is one of a previous location and a current location is a geographic regions defined as one or more states or one or more cities.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first or second indicator input is a distance from a predetermined location.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first or second indicator is one of:

(a) a current content popularity;

(b) a current query popularity; and

(c) a current emerging queries.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one graphical element is one of:

(a) a color;

(b) a font; and

(c) a graphic.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first or second indicator is a usage history characteristic selected from the list consisting of:

(a) shopping habits of the user as recorded through use of the mobile communication facility;

(b) payment and billing history associated with the user of the mobile communication facility;

(c) duration of on-line interactions by the user from using the mobile communication facility;

(d) number of on-line interactions of the user via the mobile communication facility;

(e) usage patterns of the mobile communication facility dependent on location or time of day of use thereof;

(f) content accessed by the user via the mobile communication facility; and

(g) previous search queries entered by the user via the mobile communication facility.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first or second indicator is a user characteristic selected from the list consisting of:

(a) age, age-range, or birthdate of the user;

(b) gender of the user;

(c) race of the user;

(d) religion of the user;

(e) marital status of the user;

(f) area code of the phone number assigned to the mobile communication facility;

(g) zip code of the user;

(h) home address of the user;

(i) work address of the user;

(j) billing address of the user;

(k) type of credit card the user uses to pay for service for the mobile communication facility;

(l) birthplace of the user;

(m) employer of the user;

(n) employment position of the user; and

(o) income bracket of the user.

10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first or second indicator is representative of a transaction made via the mobile communication facility, wherein the transaction is selected from the list consisting of:

(a) a purchase of one or more items;

(b) an advertisement conversion;

(c) a coupon redemption;

(d) a transfer of funds from a bank account;

(e) a placement of a purchasable item into an online shopping cart;

(f) a stage of a transaction where an incomplete item purchase was terminated;

(g) a ratio of item views to item purchases;

(h) a completion of an enrollment; and

(i) a completion of a survey.

11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the transaction was made via the manufacturer of the mobile communication facility.

12 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the transaction was made via an application by operating system of the mobile communication facility.

13 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the transaction was made via an operator through which the user of the mobile communication facility is subscribed.

14 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the transaction was made offline.

15 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first or second content is an advertisement.

16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the advertisement is one of:

(a) audio;

(b) text;

(c) a banner; and

(d) an interactive application.

17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the advertisement is presented in one of

(a) a video; and

(b) a game.
