Abstract

The degree of multiplexing of a code division multiplexed signal transmitted by subcarriers is selected on a subcarrier-by-subcarrier basis. As a result, inter-code interference on the propagation path and degradation on the propagation path are lower for a code division multiplexed signal allocated to subcarriers with a low degree of signal multiplexing (G 1 ) than for transmit signals allocated to subcarriers with a high degree of multiplexing. By this technique, it is possible to prevent degradation of the error rate characteristics of important information without lowering spectral efficiency significantly as compared with the case in which the degree of signal multiplexing is decided uniformly for all subcarriers, and to achieve compatibility between spectral efficiency and error rate characteristics.

Claims (13)

1. A transmission apparatus configured to transmit a plurality of transmission signals, the transmission apparatus comprising:

an assigning section configured to assign the plurality of transmission signals generated from a plurality of data, to a plurality of subcarriers; and

a plurality of antennas configured to transmit the plurality of transmission signals assigned to the plurality of subcarriers, wherein

the assigning section is configured to assign the plurality of transmission signals such that among the plurality of transmission signals, a plurality of first transmission signals, generated from data for which better channel quality is required than for other data, are transmitted via a same antenna.

2. The transmission apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the data for which better channel quality is required than for other data includes control information and retransmission information.

3. The transmission apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein

a plurality of second transmission signals generated from the other data are transmitted via an antenna other than the same antenna among the plurality of antennas.

4. The transmission apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein

the assigning section is further configured to assign the plurality of first transmission signals such that the plurality of first transmission signals are not transmitted via another antenna than the same antenna.

5. A transmission method for transmitting a plurality of transmission signals, the transmission method comprising:

assigning, the plurality of transmission signals generated from a plurality of data, to a plurality of subcarriers; and

transmitting, via a plurality of antennas, the plurality of transmission signals assigned to the plurality of subcarriers, wherein

in the assigning, the plurality of transmission signals are assigned such that among the plurality of transmission signals, a plurality of first transmission signals, generated from data for which better channel quality is required than for other data, are transmitted via a same antenna.
