Abstract

An image generation apparatus is configured to generate one piece of image including a moving image and a still image which are continuously shot. The apparatus includes a first special effect processing unit and a second special effect processing unit. The first special effect processing unit creates a special effect still image by executing still image special effect processing with respect to the still image. The second special effect processing unit creates a special effect moving image by executing moving image special effect processing which is a combination of special effects associated with the still image special effect processing with respect to the moving image.

Claims (37)

1 . An image generation apparatus configured to generate one piece of image including a moving image and a still image which are continuously shot, the apparatus comprising:

a first special effect processing unit configured to create a special effect still image by executing still image special effect processing with respect to the still image; and

a second special effect processing unit configured to create a special effect moving image by executing moving image special effect processing which is a combination of special effects associated with the still image special effect processing with respect to the moving image.

2 . The apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein

a plurality of combinations of the still image special effect processing and the moving image special effect processing are prepared,

the first special effect processing unit and the second special effect processing unit select one from the plurality of the combinations,

the first special effect processing unit executes the selected still image special effect processing, and

the second special effect processing unit executes the selected moving image special effect processing.

3 . The apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein, in the moving image special effect processing, a time for which each of the special effects is executed is defined.

4 . The apparatus according to claim 1 ,

wherein the special effect in the moving image special effect processing includes at least one of:

fade-out effect that an entire image gradually changes into a white image or a black image;

fade-in effect that an entire image gradually changes from a white image or a black image;

white flash effect that an entire image changes into a white image for a short time;

sepia effect that a color image gradually changes from a color image into a sepia image or from the sepia image into the color image;

monochrome effect that a color image gradually changes into a monochromatic image or the monochromatic image gradually changes into the color image;

chroma change effect that a chroma of an image gradually changes;

gradation change effect that a gradation of an image gradually changes;

soft focus effect that performs blurring processing to an image;

echo effect that superimposes images having a predetermined number of frames on each other to obtain an afterimage effect;

slow motion effect that changes the number of frames included per unit time to vary a reproduction speed;

blur effect that provides an effect for misting an image:

pinhole effect that reduces a peripheral luminance of an image; and

toy photo effect that reduces a peripheral luminance of an image and changes a color tone or contrast.

5 . The apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising a file creation unit configured to create one still and moving image file based on the special effect still image and the special effect moving image.

The apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising a file creation unit configured to create a moving image file including the special effect moving image and a still and moving image file including association information relative to the moving image file and the special effect still image.

7 . An imaging apparatus comprising:

an imaging unit configured to acquire a moving image and a still image;

a first special effect processing unit configured to create a special effect still image by executing still image special effect processing with respect to the still image;

a second special effect processing unit configured to create a special effect moving image by executing moving image special effect processing which is a combination of special effects associated with the still image special effect processing with respect to the moving image; and

a display unit configured to display one piece of image including the special effect moving image and the special effect still image.

8 . An image generation method which generates one piece of image including a moving image and a still image which are continuously shot, the method comprising:

creating a special effect still image by executing still image special effect processing with respect to the still image; and

creating a special effect moving image by executing moving image special effect processing which is a combination of special effects associated with the still image special effect processing with respect to the moving image.

9 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium which stores a program that allows a computer in an image generate apparatus to generate one piece of image including a moving image and a still image which are continuously shot, the storage medium storing:

a code for creating a special effect still image by executing still image special effect processing with respect to the still image; and

a code for creating a special effect moving image by executing moving image special effect processing which is a combination of special effects associated with the still image special effect processing with respect to the moving image.
