Abstract

A base station apparatus is provided, which includes a generator configured to generate a synchronization signal and a transmitter configured to transmit the generated synchronization signal. The generator is configured to generate a synchronization signal to be mapped on a subcarrier included in one of a plurality of frequency resource candidates that are separated by an interval, which is a common multiple of a determined frequency spacing and a subcarrier spacing between contiguous subcarriers, wherein the subcarrier spacing does not have a value that is a divisor of the determined frequency spacing.

Claims (24)

1. A mobile station apparatus comprising:

a detection section configured to detect a synchronization signal mapped on a subcarrier included in one of a plurality of frequency resource candidates that are separated by an interval, which is a common multiple of a determined frequency spacing and a subcarrier spacing between contiguous subcarriers, wherein the subcarrier spacing does not have a value that is a divisor of the determined frequency spacing; and

a cell search section configured to perform a cell search using the detected synchronization signal.

2. The mobile station apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the determined frequency spacing is a spacing between frequencies at which carriers can be set.

3. The mobile station apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the determined frequency spacing is a frequency spacing for performing a cell search.

4. The mobile station apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the subcarrier on which the synchronization signal is mapped is around a center frequency of said one of the plurality of frequency resource candidates that include said subcarrier.

5. The mobile station apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the subcarrier on which the synchronization signal is mapped is a subcarrier that is closest to a center frequency of a communication frequency bandwidth.

6. The mobile station apparatus according to the claim 1 , wherein the determined frequency interval is a channel raster of a base station apparatus.

7. A reception method performed by a mobile station apparatus, comprising:

detecting a synchronization signal mapped on a subcarrier included in one of a plurality of frequency resource candidates that are separated by an interval, which is a common multiple of a determined frequency spacing and a subcarrier spacing between contiguous subcarriers, wherein the subcarrier spacing does not have a value that is a divisor of the determined frequency spacing; and

performing a cell search using the detected synchronization signal.

8. The reception method according to claim 7 , wherein the determined frequency spacing is a spacing between frequencies at which carriers can be set.

9. The reception method according to claim 7 , wherein the determined frequency spacing is a frequency spacing for performing a cell search.

10. The reception method according to claim 7 , wherein the subcarrier on which the synchronization signal is mapped is around a center frequency of said one of the plurality of frequency resource candidates that include said subcarrier.

11. The reception method according to claim 7 , wherein the subcarrier on which the synchronization signal is mapped is a subcarrier that is closest to a center frequency of a communication frequency bandwidth.

12. The reception method according to claim 7 , wherein the determined frequency interval is a channel raster of a base station apparatus.

13. An integrated circuit for controlling a process comprising:

detecting a synchronization signal mapped on a subcarrier included in one of a plurality of frequency resource candidates that are separated by an interval, which is a common multiple of a determined frequency spacing and a subcarrier spacing between contiguous subcarriers, wherein the subcarrier spacing does not have a value that is a divisor of the determined frequency spacing; and

performing a cell search using the detected synchronization signal.

14. The integrated circuit according to claim 13 , wherein the determined frequency spacing is a spacing between frequencies at which carriers can be set.

15. The integrated circuit according to claim 13 , wherein the determined frequency spacing is a frequency spacing for performing a cell search.

16. The integrated circuit according to claim 13 , wherein the subcarrier on which the synchronization signal is mapped is around a center frequency of said one of the plurality of frequency resource candidates that include said subcarrier.

17. The integrated circuit according to claim 13 , wherein the subcarrier on which the synchronization signal is mapped is a subcarrier that is closest to a center frequency of a communication frequency bandwidth.

18. The integrated circuit according to claim 13 , wherein the determined frequency interval is a channel raster of a base station apparatus.
