Abstract

A wiper blade is presented having a wiper strip, a primary frame, and a pair of secondary frames. The primary frame having a connection device capable of connecting the wiper blade to a wiper arm disposed on a top side of the primary frame, and a connection structure disposed, on opposite ends of the primary frame. The pair of secondary frame, each have a central pivot connection portion and two leg portions extending from the central pivot connection portion, a pivot structure disposed on the central pivot connection portion of the secondary frames wherein the pivot structure of the secondary frames are connected to the connection structures on the ends of the primary frame. A wiper blade is also presented having a wiper strip, a force distribution structure having opposite ends, and a cover.

a pair of secondary frames, each having a top surface oriented away from the wiper strip and a bottom surface oriented towards the wiper strip, each having a pivot connection portion and two leg portions, wherein each leg portion is straight and extends from the pivot connection portion at an oblique angle of descent relative to the pivot connection portion, a pivot structure disposed on the central pivot connection portion of the secondary frames, wherein each leg portion is thin and has a cross-section with a substantially rectangular shape having the thickness of the pivot connection portion, wherein the cross-section is made by a vertical plane;

wherein the pivot structures disposed on the secondary frames are connected to the connection structures on the ends of the primary frame.

2. The wiper blade of claim 1 , further comprising a stiffening bead provided on the top surface of each of the secondary frames, wherein the shape of the cross-section of the leg portions remains substantially rectangular, except the stiffening bead.

3. The wiper blade of claim 2 , wherein the stiffening beads have a height, defined as the distance between the secondary frame's top surface and a top surface of the stiffening bead, which is greater than the thickness of the secondary frame.

4. The wiper blade of claim 2 , wherein each stiffening bead is provided along the top surface of one of the leg portion and the central pivot portion.

5. The wiper blade of claim 1 , wherein each secondary frame has a length, and wherein the thickness of the secondary frames is substantially constant along the length of each secondary frame.

6. The wiper blade of claim 1 wherein the two leg portions of each of the secondary frames are symmetric.

7. The wiper blade of claim 1 wherein the two leg portions of each of the secondary frames are asymmetric.

8. The wiper blade of claim 1 wherein the two leg portions of each of the secondary frames have different lengths.

9. The wiper blade of claim 1 wherein the angle of descent of the two leg portions of each of the secondary frames is substantially identical.

10. The wiper blade of claim 1 wherein the angle of descent of the two leg portions of each of the secondary frames is different.

11. A wiper blade comprising:

a wiper strip,

a primary frame, having a top side oriented away from the wiper strip, and opposite ends, a connection device capable of connecting the wiper blade to a wiper arm disposed on the top side of the primary frame, and a connection structure disposed on each of the opposite ends of the primary frame;

a pair of secondary frames, each having a top surface oriented away from the wiper strip and a bottom surface oriented towards the wiper strip, each having a pivot connection portion and two leg portions each leg portion straight and extending from the pivot connection portion at an oblique angle of descent relative to the pivot connection portion, a pivot structure disposed on the central pivot connection portion of the secondary frames, wherein each leg portion is thin and has a cross-section with a substantially rectangular shape having the thickness of the pivot connection portion, wherein the cross-section is made by a vertical plane, wherein the top surface is oriented away from the wiper strip, and the bottom surface is oriented towards the wiper strip;

wherein the pivot structures disposed on the secondary frames are connected to the connection structures on the ends of the primary frame; and

two pairs of tertiary frames, each pair of tertiary frames pivotally connected to a corresponding end of each of the two leg portions of each secondary frame.

12. The wiper blade of claim 11 , further comprising a stiffening bead provided on the top surface of each of the secondary frames, wherein the shape of the cross-section of the leg portions remains substantially rectangular, excepting the stiffening bead.

13. The wiper blade of claim 12 , wherein the stiffening beads have a height, defined as the distance between the secondary frame's top surface and a top surface of the stiffening bead, which is greater than the thickness of the secondary frame.

14. The wiper blade of claim 12 , wherein each stiffening bead is provided along the top surface of one of the leg portion and the central pivot portion.

15. The wiper blade of claim 11 wherein each secondary frame has a length, and wherein the thickness of the secondary frames is substantially constant along the length of each secondary frame.

16. A wiper blade comprising:

a wiper strip,

a primary frame, having a top primary surface oriented away from the wiper strip, a bottom primary surface oriented towards the wiper strip, and opposite primary ends, the primary frame including

a connection device capable of connecting the wiper blade to a wiper arm disposed on the top primary surface, and

a connection structure disposed on each of the opposite primary ends;

a pair of secondary frames each having a top secondary surface oriented away from the wiper strip, a bottom secondary surface oriented towards the wiper strip, and opposite secondary ends, each secondary frame including

a central pivot connection portion connected with the connection structure of the primary frame,

two leg portions each extending from the pivot connection portion towards a secondary end at an oblique angle of descent relative to the pivot connection portion, each leg portion is straight such that the top secondary surface and the bottom secondary surface of each leg portion extend from the pivot connection portion at the same oblique angle of descent throughout the leg portion, and the leg portions and the central pivot connection portions are thin with an equivalent thickness, and

a pivot structure disposed on the central pivot connection portion; and
