Abstract

A wireless transceiver includes a semiconductor device configured to perform a transmission process and a reception process using a radio wave, the semiconductor device including a transmission unit and a reception unit. The wireless transceiver further includes an antenna configured to transmit an output signal from the transmission unit and provide a received input signal to the reception unit, and a baseband circuit configured to receive an output signal from the reception unit and output the output signal to the transmission unit.

Claims (12)

1. A wireless transceiver comprising:

a semiconductor device configured to perform a transmission process and a reception process using a radio wave, the semiconductor device including:

a transmission unit which is configured to perform the transmission process, and includes a modulator, the modulator including a first inductor of a spiral shape; and

a reception unit which is configured to perform the reception process, and includes a local oscillator, the local oscillator including a second inductor of a horseshoe-shape, and the second inductor having an opening and being disposed so that the opening is located opposite to the first inductor;

an antenna configured to transmit an output signal from the transmission unit and provide a received input signal to the reception unit; and

a baseband circuit configured to receive an output signal from the reception unit and output the output signal to the transmission unit.

2. The wireless transceiver according to claim 1 , wherein the semiconductor device further includes a first balanced converter provided between the transmission unit and the antenna and configured to provide the output signal from the transmission unit to the antenna, and

wherein the wireless transceiver further comprises a second balanced converter provided between the antenna and the semiconductor device and configured to provide a signal received by the antenna to the reception unit.

3. The wireless transceiver according to claim 2 , further comprising an amplifier provided between the semiconductor device and the antenna and configured to amplify an output signal from the first balanced converter and provide the amplified output signal to the antenna.

4. The wireless transceiver according to claim 1 , wherein the semiconductor device further includes:

an analog-to-digital converter configured to convert an output analog signal from the reception unit into a digital signal and provide the digital signal to the baseband circuit; and

a digital-to-analog converter configured to convert an output digital signal from the baseband circuit into an analog signal and provide the analog signal to the transmission unit.
