Abstract

A task management system and method that enables task assignment, that supports task monitoring, that produces task reminders, that verifies task completion, and that assigns rewards or penalties based on task performance. The task management system implements a method of receiving an indication of a particular task to be completed and first image data that corresponds to the particular task. The method further includes receiving second image data that corresponds to a second image, and processor comparing the first image data and the second image data. The processor can determine whether the particular task is completed based on comparing the first image data and the second image data. A notification indicating whether the particular task is completed is then sent.

Claims (47)

1. A method comprising:

monitoring at least one sensor of a mobile device corresponding to a first user;

predicting by at least one processor based on the monitoring of the at least one sensor that the first user does not have the mobile device on the person of the first user;

providing, responsive to the predicting, a notification to the mobile device corresponding to the first user indicating a requirement to charge a battery of the mobile device corresponding to the first user; and

attempting communication to the mobile device via a wireless network; and

notifying a second user responsive to a failure to communicate to the mobile device via the wireless network.

2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the monitoring of the at least one sensor comprises monitoring at least one classifier.

The method of claim 1 , further comprising monitoring the mobile device to determine whether a charging process is initiated within a particular time after providing the notification to the mobile device corresponding to the first user, and providing an alert to the second user responsive to determining the charging process is not initiated within the particular time.

The method of claim 1 , further comprising monitoring the mobile device to determine whether a charging process is initiated within a particular time after providing the notification to the mobile device corresponding to the first user, and providing an alert to the mobile device for reminding the first user to initiate a charging process.

The method of claim 4 , further comprising monitoring the mobile device to determine whether a charging process is initiated within a particular time after providing the alert to the mobile device corresponding to the first user, and providing an alert to the second user responsive to determining the charging process is not initiated within the particular time after providing the alert to the mobile device.

6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

monitoring a battery charge sensor of the mobile device;

determining a charge state of the mobile device based on the monitoring of the battery charge sensor; and

disabling a particular process on the mobile device responsive to the determined charge state.

7. A method comprising:

monitoring a motion sensor of a mobile device;

determining a motion state of the mobile device based on the monitoring of the motion sensor;

monitoring a battery charge of the mobile device based on the determined motion state;

determining a first charge state of the mobile device based on the monitoring of the battery charge;

disabling a particular process on the mobile device responsive to the determined first charge state; and

transmitting a communication via a network to a computing device indicating the first charge state and that the particular process is disabled.

8. The method of claim 7 , further comprising:

determining a second charge state of the mobile device; and

re-enabling the particular process responsive to the determined second charge state.

9. The method of claim 7 , further comprising:

generating a notification to a user of the mobile device regarding the first charge state;

initiating a waiting period;

determining a failure to initiate charging of the mobile device within the waiting period; and

transmitting an alert based on the failure to initiate charging of the mobile device within the waiting period.

10. The method of claim 8 , the particular process comprising a task validation process comprising:

capturing image data by the mobile device;

comparing the image data captured by the mobile device with a reference image; and

disabling at least one of an application or a functional component of the mobile device based on the comparing of the image data.

11. The method of claim 10 , further comprising:

transmitting a notification via the network to a party responsive to determining the first charge state; and

receiving instructions from the party via the network to adjust a time period for completion of at least one step of the task validation process; and

adjusting the time period for the completion of the at least one step of the task validation process responsive to the instructions.

12. A mobile device comprising:

a motion sensor;

a battery; and

a processor configured for:

monitoring the motion sensor of the mobile device;

determining a motion state of the mobile device based on the monitoring of the motion sensor;

monitoring a battery charge of the mobile device based on the determined motion state;

determining a first charge state of the mobile device based on the monitoring of the battery charge;

disabling a particular process on the mobile device responsive to the determined first charge state; and

transmitting a communication via a network to a computing device indicating the first charge state and that the particular process is disabled.
