Abstract

Exemplary methods, apparatuses, and systems receive, from a first user device associated with a first user, location data representing a current physical location of the first user. A request for the current physical location of the first user is received from a second user device associated with the second user. In response to the received selection, the current physical location of the first user based upon the shared location data is transmitted to the second user device. A selection of a third party service is received from the second user device. The current physical location of the first user is transmitted to a server associated with the third party service within a request for the third party service to send the a service or product to the current physical location of the first user.

2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving, from the first user device, an indication to share the current physical location of the first user via the social network application.

3. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein receiving the request for caravan navigation comprises receiving, from the second user device, a user input selecting a selectable element displaying an option for caravan navigation and indicating the first user.

4. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , further comprising, in response to receiving the indication of the selection by the second user of the first user from the list of nearby co-users, generating the representation of the current physical location of the first user.

5. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more caravan options comprise one or more of leading a caravan that includes the first user, following the first user in the caravan, or navigating to a same destination as the first user.

6. The computer-implemented method of claim 5 , wherein receiving the selection of the caravan option comprises receiving a selection to lead the caravan that includes the first user; and

further comprising updating the route in the graphical user interface on the second user device and the graphical user interface on the first user device to show the second user leading the first user.

7. The computer-implemented method of claim 5 , wherein receiving the selection of the caravan option comprises receiving a selection to follow the first user in the caravan; and

further comprising updating the route in the graphical user interface on the second user device and the graphical user interface on the first user device to include navigational guidance to the current physical location of the first user.

8. A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause a computing device to:

receive, from a first user device associated with a first user via a social network application, location data representing a current physical location of the first user;

provide, to a second user device associated with a second user via the social network application and based on a current physical location of the second user, a list of nearby co-users associated with the second user via the social network application displayed within a graphical user interface at the second user device;

receive, from the second user device associated with the second user via the social network application, an indication of a selection by the second user of the first user from the list of nearby co-users;

transmit, to the second user device and in response to the received indication of the selection by the second user of the first user from the list of nearby co-users, a representation of the current physical location of the first user for display within a graphical user interface displayed on the second user device;

receive, from the second user device, a request for caravan navigation together with the first user;

provide, in response to the request for caravan navigation, one or more caravan options for display within the graphical user interface displayed on the second user device;

receive, via the second user device, a selection of a caravan option from among the one or more caravan options; and

based on receiving the selected caravan option and the current physical location of the first user, cause both the graphical user interface on the second user device and a graphical user interface on the first user device to update with a route associated with the selected caravan option.

9. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 8 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the computing device to receive, from the first user device, an indication to share the current physical location of the first user via the social network application.

10. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the instructions cause the computing device to receive the request for caravan navigation by receiving, from the second user device, a user input selecting a selectable element displaying an option for caravan navigation and indicating the first user.

11. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 8 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the computing device to generate, in response to receiving the indication of the selection by the second user of the first user from the list of nearby co-users, the representation of the current physical location of the first user.

12. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 8 , wherein the one or more caravan options comprise one or more of leading a caravan that includes the first user, following the first user in the caravan, or navigating to a same destination as the first user.

13. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 12 , wherein the instructions cause the computing device to receive the selection of the caravan option by receiving a selection to lead the caravan that includes the first user; and

further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the computing device to update the route in the graphical user interface on the second user device and the graphical user interface on the first user device to show the second user leading the first user.

14. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 12 , wherein the instructions cause the computing device to receive the selection of the caravan option by receiving a selection to follow the first user in the caravan; and

further comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the computing device to update the route in the graphical user interface on the second user device and the graphical user interface on the first user device to include navigational guidance to the current physical location of the first user.

15. A system comprising:

at least one processor; and

a non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the system to:

receive, from a first user device associated with a first user via a social network application, GPS location data representing a current physical location of the first user;
