Claims (40)

1. A system comprising:

a memory device that stores a plurality of instructions that, when executed by processor, cause the processor to:

responsive to a request of a transfer of an amount of funds from a first account to a second account:

determine if the amount of funds is associated with the second account,

responsive to the determination being that the amount of funds is associated with the second account, approve the transfer of the amount of funds from the first account to the second account, and

responsive to the determination being that the amount of funds is not associated with the second account:

deny the transfer of the amount of funds from the first account to the second account, and

communicate data which results in a display device displaying a notification associated with the denied transfer.

2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first account comprises a gaming establishment account and the second account comprises an external account.

3. The system of claim 2 , wherein the amount of funds is associated with the external account responsive to the amount of funds being transferred to the gaming establishment account from the external account such that after a transfer of any portion of the amount of funds from the gaming establishment account to another gaming establishment account, the transferred portion of the amount of funds remain associated with the external account.

4. The system of claim 1 , wherein responsive to the amount of funds comprising an amount of winnings from an electronic gaming machine, the amount of funds is associated with the second account.

5. The system of claim 1 , wherein responsive the amount of funds comprising an amount of winnings from a wager placed on an outcome of a sporting event, the amount of funds is associated with the second account.

6. The system of claim 1 , wherein responsive to the amount of funds comprising an amount of winnings from a wager placed at a gaming table, the amount of funds is associated with the second account.

7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the notification associated with the denied transfer comprises an improper fund movement activity report.

8. A system comprising:

a processor; and

a memory device that stores a plurality of instructions that, when executed by processor, cause the processor to:

responsive to a request of an amount of funds when a first account associated with a first funding source and a second account associated with a second funding source are each associated with at least the amount of funds:

select, based on a funding source priority, one of the first account and the second account,

responsive to the first account being selected, cause the amount of funds to be drawn from the first account without causing the amount of funds to be drawn from the second account, and

responsive to the second account being selected, cause the amount of funds to be drawn from the second account without causing the amount of funds to be drawn from the first account.

9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the first funding source comprises an external account, the second funding source comprises an amount of winnings from an electronic gaming machine and the funding source priority comprises drawing funds from the external account prior to drawing any funds won from any electronic gaming machines.

10. The system of claim 8 , wherein the first funding source comprises an external account, the second funding source comprises an amount of winnings from a wager placed on an outcome of a sporting event, and the funding source priority comprises drawing funds from the external account prior to drawing any funds won from any wagers placed on any outcomes of any sporting events.

11. The system of claim 8 , wherein the first funding source comprises an external account, the second funding source comprises an amount of winnings from a wager placed at a gaming table, and the funding source priority comprises drawing funds from the external account prior to drawing any funds won from any wagers placed at any gaming tables.

12. The system of claim 8 , wherein the first funding source and the second funding source are each associated with a separate funding source meter.

13. The system of claim 8 , wherein when executed by the processor responsive to the first account being selected, the instructions cause the processor to assign a first funding source flag to the amount of funds drawn from the first account.

14. A method of operating a system, the method comprising:

responsive to a request of a transfer of an amount of funds from a first account to a second account:

determining, by a processor, if the amount of funds is associated with the second account,

responsive to the determination being that the amount of funds is associated with the second account, approving, by the processor, the transfer of the amount of funds from the first account to the second account, and

responsive to the determination being that the amount of funds is not associated with the second account:

denying, by the processor, the transfer of the amount of funds from the first account to the second account, and

displaying, by a display device, a notification associated with the denied transfer.

15. The method of claim 14 , wherein the first account comprises a gaming establishment account and the second account comprises an external account.

16. The method of claim 15 , wherein the amount of funds is associated with the external account responsive to the amount of funds being transferred to the gaming establishment account from the external account such that after a transfer of any portion of the amount of funds from the gaming establishment account to another gaming establishment account, the transferred portion of the amount of funds remain associated with the external account.

17. The method of claim 14 , wherein responsive to the amount of funds comprising an amount of winnings from an electronic gaming machine, the amount of funds is associated with the second account.

18. The method of claim 14 , wherein responsive the amount of funds comprising an amount of winnings from a wager placed on an outcome of a sporting event, the amount of funds is associated with the second account.
