Abstract

A wireless device receives a sounding reference signal (SRS) request field and an ending symbol field for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). The SRS request field indicates an SRS is not transmitted in a last symbol of a subframe of an unlicensed cell. The ending symbol field indicates the PUSCH is not transmitted in the last symbol for a first listen before talk procedure to be performed during the last symbol. A packet is transmitted in the subframe via the PUSCH based on the ending symbol field.

Claims (46)

1. A method comprising:

transmitting by a base station:

a sounding reference signal (SRS) request field indicating an SRS is not transmitted in a last symbol of a subframe of an unlicensed cell; and

an ending symbol field for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) indicating the PUSCH is not transmitted in the last symbol for a first listen before talk procedure to be performed during the last symbol; and

receiving, in the subframe, a packet via the PUSCH based on the ending symbol field.

2. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting, by a base station, at least one message comprising configuration parameters for the unlicensed cell, the configuration parameters comprising one or more SRS parameters of the SRS.

3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the PUSCH not being received in the last symbol allows a base station to transmit a command for the first listen before talk procedure to be performed during the last symbol by a wireless device.

4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting, to a wireless device, a downlink control information (DCI) comprising:

the SRS request field;

the ending symbol field; and

a resource block assignment field for the subframe.

5. The method of claim 4 , wherein the DCI is associated with a cell radio network temporary identifier (C-RNTI) of the wireless device.

6. The method of claim 5 , further comprising receiving a first SRS in parallel with a first packet based on:

the ending symbol field indicating that a first PUSCH is transmitted in a last symbol of a first subframe; and

the SRS request field indicating that the first SRS is transmitted in the first subframe.

7. The method of claim 1 , wherein no cell-specific SRS subframe is configured for the unlicensed cell.

8. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

transmitting:

a first SRS request field; and

a first ending symbol field; and

receiving a first SRS in parallel with a first packet based on:

the first ending symbol field indicating that a first PUSCH is transmitted in a last symbol of a first subframe; and

the first SRS request field indicating that the first SRS is transmitted in the first subframe.

9. A method comprising:

transmitting, by a base station, a downlink control information (DCI), to a wireless device, indicating uplink resources for an uplink burst, the DCI comprising:

a sounding reference signal (SRS) request field indicating an SRS is not transmitted in a last symbol of the uplink burst of an unlicensed cell; and

an ending symbol field for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) indicating the PUSCH is not transmitted in the last symbol for a first listen before talk procedure to be performed during the last symbol; and

receiving, in a last subframe of the uplink burst, a packet via the PUSCH based on the ending symbol field.

10. The method of claim 9 , wherein the DCI further comprises at least one of:

a modulation and coding scheme;

a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARD) identifier;

a redundancy version (RV);

a transmit power control (TPC) command; or

a new data indicator (NDI).

11. The method of claim 9 , further comprising transmitting, by a base station, at least one message comprising configuration parameters for the unlicensed cell, the configuration parameters comprising one or more SRS parameters of the SRS.

12. The method of claim 11 , wherein the SRS parameters comprise an SRS bandwidth parameter.

13. The method of claim 12 , wherein the DCI comprises a resource block assignment field for the uplink burst.

14. The method of claim 13 , wherein the DCI is associated with a cell radio network temporary identifier (C-RNTI) of the wireless device.

15. The method of claim 9 , further comprising transmitting configuration parameters for a licensed assisted access (LAA) cell, wherein no cell-specific SRS subframe is configured for the LAA cell.

16. The method of claim 9 , further comprising:

transmitting:

a first SRS request field; and

a first ending symbol field; and

receiving a first SRS in parallel with a first packet based on:

the first ending symbol field indicating that a first PUSCH is transmitted in a last symbol of a first uplink burst; and

the first SRS request field indicating that the first SRS is transmitted in the last symbol.
