Abstract

The systems and method of the present disclosure provide for automatic volume adjustment during a communication session. The method includes receiving an entered volume level, receiving at least one audio signal from a communication session, analyzing a volume level of the at least one audio signal, and comparing the entered volume level with the volume level of the at least one audio signal. The method also includes determining that the entered volume level does not match the volume level of the at least one audio signal and when the entered volume level does not match the volume level of the at least one audio signal, adjusting the volume level of the at least one audio signal to match the entered volume level.

Claims (40)

1 . A method, comprising:

receiving, by a processor, an entered volume level;

receiving, by the processor, at least one audio signal from a communication session;

analyzing, by the processor, a volume level of the at least one audio signal;

comparing, by the processor, the entered volume level with the volume level of the at least one audio signal;

determining, by the processor, that the entered volume level does not match the volume level of the at least one audio signal; and

when the entered volume level does not match the volume level of the at least one audio signal, adjusting, by the processor, the volume level of the at least one audio signal to match the entered volume level.

2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the communication session is a conference call.

3 . The method according to claim 1 , further comprising receiving, by the processor, the entered volume level based on a sample selection of volume levels.

4 . The method according to claim 3 , further comprising generating, by the processor, a graphical illustration for the sample selection of volume levels.

5 . The method according to claim 3 , further comprising generating, by the processor, corresponding sounds for each of the sample selection of volume levels.

6 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the volume level of the at least one audio signal includes loudness, pitch, range, intensity, and tone data associated with the at least one audio signal.

7 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the entered volume level is measured in decibels.

8 . The method according to claim 1 , further comprising, storing the entered volume level in a user profile.

9 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the communication session is one of a voice communication and a video communication.

10 . A system, comprising:

a processor; and

a memory coupled with and readable by the processor and having stored therein a set of instructions which, when executed by the processor, causes the processor to:

receive an entered volume level;

receive at least one audio signal from a communication session;

analyze a volume level of the at least one audio signal;

compare the entered volume level with the volume level of the at least one audio signal;

determine that the entered volume level does not match the volume level of the at least one audio signal; and

when the entered volume level does not match the volume level of the at least one audio signal, adjust the volume level of the at least one audio signal to match the entered volume level.

11 . The system according to claim 10 , wherein the communication session is a conference call.

12 . The system according to claim 10 , wherein the volume level of the at least one audio signal includes loudness, pitch, range, intensity, and tone data associated with the at least one audio signal.

13 . The system according to claim 10 , wherein the entered volume level is measured in decibels.

14 . The system according to claim 10 , wherein the processor is further caused to store the entered volume level in a user profile.

15 . The system according to claim 10 , wherein the communication session is one of a voice communication and a video communication.

16 . A tangible and non-transitory computer readable medium comprising microprocessor executable instructions that, when executed by the microprocessor, perform the following functions:

receiving an entered volume level;

receiving at least one audio signal from a communication session;

analyzing a volume level of the at least one audio signal;

comparing the entered volume level with the volume level of the at least one audio signal;

determining that the entered volume level does not match the volume level of the at least one audio signal; and

when the entered volume level does not match the volume level of the at least one audio signal, adjusting the volume level of the at least one audio signal to match the entered volume level.

17 . The computer readable medium according to claim 16 , wherein the communication session is a conference call.

18 . The computer readable medium according to claim 16 , wherein the volume level of the at least one audio signal includes loudness, pitch, range, intensity, and tone data associated with the at least one audio signal.

19 . The computer readable medium according to claim 16 , wherein the entered volume level is measured in decibels.

20 . The computer readable medium according to claim 16 , wherein the microprocessor further performs the function of storing the entered volume level in a user profile.
