Abstract

A transmission method simultaneously transmitting a first modulated signal and a second modulated signal at a common frequency performs precoding on both signals using a fixed precoding matrix and regularly changes the phase of at least one of the signals, thereby improving received data signal quality for a reception device.

Claims (7)

1. A mobile terminal comprising:

a wireless communication circuit; and

a processor configured to switch between a first communication mode and a second communication mode, wherein

in the first communication mode, the wireless communication circuit receives first data and second data from a first base station and a second base station in a first frequency band and a second frequency band, respectively, at an identical time, the first data being identical to the second data, the first frequency band being identical to the second frequency band, and

in the second communication mode, the wireless communication circuit receives third data from the first base station in a third frequency band or the wireless communication circuit receives fourth data from the second base station in a fourth frequency band, the third data being different from the fourth data, the third frequency band being different from the fourth frequency band,

wherein in the second communication mode, the wireless communication circuit receives the third data from the first base station according to MIMO (Multi-Input and Multi-Output) scheme with phase changing, and

wherein in the second communication mode, the wireless communication circuit receives the fourth data from the second base station according to the MIMO scheme without phase changing.
