Abstract

A plurality of media files to be broadcast is stored in accordance with a broadcast schedule, wherein the plurality of media files include media content. A speech audio file, including speech content, is obtained, and a determination is made regarding whether the speech content included in the speech audio file includes a reference to particular media content included in a particular media file of the plurality of media files. A linkage is created between the speech audio file and the particular media file, and the speech audio file is inserted in a position within the broadcast schedule based on the linkage between the speech audio file and the particular media file.

Claims (67)

1 . A method comprising:

storing a plurality of media files to be broadcast in accordance with a broadcast schedule, wherein the plurality of media files include media content;

obtaining a speech audio file including speech content;

determining whether the speech content included in the speech audio file includes a reference to particular media content included in a particular media file of the plurality of media files;

creating a linkage between the speech audio file and the particular media file by creating a data record linking the speech audio file in the broadcast schedule and the particular media file;

in response to determining that the speech content included in the speech audio file includes a reference to the particular media content; configuring the data record to indicate that deletion of the particular media file is restricted; and

inserting the speech audio file in a position within the broadcast schedule, wherein the position within the broadcast schedule is selected based on the linkage between the speech audio file and the particular media file.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein creating the linkage includes:

generating the data record in response to determining that at least a portion of the speech content of the speech audio file matches at least a portion of first metadata associated with the particular media file.

3 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising:

transmitting the speech audio file to a speech-to-text converter configured to generate a transcript of the speech content; and

comparing the transcript of the speech content to the first metadata associated with the particular media file.

4 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising:

updating second metadata associated with the speech audio file to refer to the particular media file.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:

inserting the speech audio file in the position within the broadcast schedule includes replacing a placeholder in the position within the broadcast schedule with the speech audio file.

6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

modifying the speech audio file to generate an updated speech audio file; and

replacing the speech audio file with the updated speech audio file.

7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein:

modifying the speech audio file includes replacing a portion of the speech content included in the speech audio file with audio content generate from user text input.

8 . A processing device comprising:

a processor;

memory coupled to the processor and configured to store a program of computer executable instructions, which when executed by the processor configures the processor to

store a plurality of media files to be broadcast in accordance with a broadcast schedule, wherein the plurality of media files include media content;

obtain a speech audio file including speech content;

determine whether the speech content included in the speech audio file includes a reference to particular media content included in a particular media file of the plurality of media files;

create a linkage between the speech audio file and the particular media file by creating a data record linking the speech audio file in the broadcast schedule and the particular media file;

in response to determining that the speech content included in the speech audio file includes a reference to the particular media content; configuring the data record to indicate that deletion of the particular media file is restricted; and

insert the speech audio file in a position within the broadcast schedule, wherein the position within the broadcast schedule is selected based on the linkage between the speech audio file and the particular media file.

9 . The processing device of claim 8 , wherein execution of the program of computer executable instructions further configures the processor to:

create the linkage includes generating the data record in response to determining that at least a portion of the speech content of the speech audio file matches at least a portion of first metadata associated with the particular media file.

10 . The processing device of claim 9 , wherein execution of the program of computer executable instructions further configures the processor to:

transmit the speech audio file to a speech-to-text converter configured to generate a transcript of the speech content; and

compare the transcript of the speech content to the first metadata associated with the particular media file.

11 . The processing device of claim 9 , wherein execution of the program of computer executable instructions further configures the processor to:

update second metadata associated with the speech audio file to refer to the particular media file.

12 . The processing device of claim 8 , wherein execution of the program of computer executable instructions further configures the processor to:

insert the speech audio file in the position within the broadcast schedule by replacing a placeholder in the position within the broadcast schedule with the speech audio file.

13 . The processing device of claim 8 , wherein execution of the program of computer executable instructions further configures the processor to:

modify the speech audio file to generate an updated speech audio file; and

replace the speech audio file with the updated speech audio file.

14 . The processing device of claim 13 , wherein execution of the program of computer executable instructions further configures the processor to:

modify the speech audio file by replacing a portion of the speech content included in the speech audio file with audio content generate from user text input.

15 . A system comprising:

a processor configured to implement an analyzer;

a memory coupled to the processor and configured to store a broadcast schedule;

a communications interface coupled to the processor and the memory, wherein

the memory is further configured to store a plurality of media files to be broadcast in accordance with the broadcast schedule, wherein the plurality of media files include media content;

the communications interface is configured to obtain a speech audio file including speech content;

the analyzer is configured to

determine whether the speech content included in the speech audio file includes a reference to particular media content included in a particular media file of the plurality of media files;

create a linkage between the speech audio file and the particular media file by creating a data record linking the speech audio file in the broadcast schedule and the particular media file;

in response to determining that the speech content included in the speech audio file includes a reference to the particular media content; configuring the data record to indicate that deletion of the particular media file is restricted; and

insert the speech audio file in a position within the broadcast schedule, wherein the position within the broadcast schedule is selected based on the linkage between the speech audio file and the particular media file.

16 . The system of claim 15 , wherein:

the analyzer is configured to create the linkage by generating the data record in response to determining that at least a portion of the speech content of the speech audio file matches at least a portion of first metadata associated with the particular media file.

17 . The system of claim 16 , further comprising:

a speech-to-text converter configured to generate a transcript of the speech content; and wherein

the analyzer is further configured to compare the transcript of the speech content to the first metadata associated with the particular media file.

18 . The system of claim 16 , further comprising:

updating second metadata associated with the speech audio file to refer to the particular media file.

19 . The system of claim 15 , wherein:

the analyzer is further configured to insert the speech audio file in the position within the broadcast schedule by replacing a placeholder in the position within the broadcast schedule with the speech audio file.

20 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the analyzer is further configured to:

modify the speech audio file to generate an updated speech audio file; and

replace the speech audio file with the updated speech audio file.
