Abstract

The disclosure is directed to a flapper system and a flapper system kit that is compatible with both 2″ and 3″ flush valve seats. In some embodiments, the flapper system is configured to enable a user to select either a 2″ or 3″ flush valve seal for the flapper system. In some embodiments, the flapper system includes a pivot that enables sealing of a flat flush valve seat or an angled flush valve seat. In some embodiments, the flapper system includes one or more adjustable window assemblies that control a fluid flowrate within an internal portion of the flapper system to control buoyancy. In some embodiments, the flapper system includes a packaging system that includes an external portion of an interior packaging that extends outside of a structural packaging resulting in a greater display area.

Claims (79)

1 . A packaging system comprising:

a structural packaging,

an interior packaging, and

an exterior portion;

wherein the exterior portion is directly coupled to the interior packaging;

wherein the exterior portion extends from within the structural packaging to outside of the structural packaging;

wherein the exterior portion includes one or more folding features configured to enable the exterior portion to bend and/or conform to one or more structural features of the structural packaging; and

wherein the structural packaging includes components of a valve assembly.

2 . The packaging system of claim 1 ,

wherein the one or more folding features are configured to enable the exterior portion to bend around an edge of the structural packaging.

3 . The packaging system of claim 1 ,

wherein the exterior portion comprises one or more apertures configured to mate with an exterior portion coupling.

4 . The packaging system of claim 3 ,

wherein the exterior portion coupling includes one or more embossments and/or protrusions extending from one or more faces of the structural packaging.

5 . The packaging system of claim 1 ,

wherein the structural packaging includes one or more apertures configured to enable a consumer to feel at least a portion of one or more components of the valve assembly within the structural packaging.

6 . The packaging system of claim 1 ,

wherein the structural packaging is configured to enable a user to determine a size of a flapper.

7 . The packaging system of claim 6 ,

wherein the interior packaging includes a sizing guide configured to aid users in ascertaining the size of the flapper.

8 . The packaging system of claim 7 ,

wherein the sizing guide is visible through the structural packaging.

9 . A packaging system comprising:

a structural packaging,

an interior packaging, and

an exterior portion;

wherein the exterior portion is directly coupled to the interior packaging;

wherein the exterior portion extends from within the structural packaging to outside of the structural packaging;

wherein the exterior portion includes one or more folding features configured to enable the exterior portion to bend and/or conform to one or more structural features of the structural packaging;

wherein the structural packaging includes two separable sections forming cavities configured to secure components of a valve assembly in place; and

wherein the exterior portion is configured to be opened and reclosed without opening the structural packaging.

10 . The packaging system of claim 9 ,

wherein a least a portion of the structural packaging is configured to be separated from the exterior portion while continuing to secure the components of the valve assembly between the cavities.

11 . The packaging system of claim 10 ,

wherein the structural packaging includes one or more snap fit couplings configured to secure the components of the valve assembly and the interior packaging in a fixed position.

12 . A packaging system comprising:

a structural packaging,

an interior packaging, and

an exterior portion;

wherein the exterior portion is directly coupled to the interior packaging;

wherein the exterior portion extends from within the structural packaging to outside of the structural packaging;

wherein the exterior portion includes one or more folding features configured to enable the exterior portion to bend and/or conform to one or more structural features of the structural packaging; and

wherein the structural packaging includes a flapper configured to seal a flush valve seat.

13 . A packaging system comprising:

a structural packaging,

an interior packaging, and

an exterior portion;

wherein the exterior portion is directly coupled to the interior packaging;

wherein the exterior portion extends from within the structural packaging to outside of the structural packaging;

wherein the exterior portion includes one or more folding features configured to enable the exterior portion to bend and/or conform to one or more structural features of the structural packaging; and

wherein the exterior portion is configured to supported by the interior packaging and the structural packaging simultaneously.

14 . The packaging system of claim 13 ,

wherein the interior packaging comprises one or more component apertures configured to fit around one or more components.

15 . A packaging system comprising:

a structural packaging,

an interior packaging, and

an exterior portion;

wherein the exterior portion is directly coupled to the interior packaging;

wherein the exterior portion extends from within the structural packaging to outside of the structural packaging;

wherein the exterior portion includes one or more folding features configured to enable the exterior portion to bend and/or conform to one or more structural features of the structural packaging;

wherein the structural packaging includes cavities formed from one or more walls and/or one or more faces; and

where the cavities are configured to securely sandwich components of a valve assembly between the one or more faces and/or the one or more walls of the structural packaging.

16 . A packaging system comprising:

a structural packaging,

an interior packaging, and

an exterior portion;

wherein the exterior portion is directly coupled to the interior packaging;

wherein the exterior portion extends from within the structural packaging to outside of the structural packaging;

wherein the exterior portion includes one or more folding features configured to enable the exterior portion to bend and/or conform to one or more structural features of the structural packaging; and

wherein the structural packaging is configured to stand upright when placed on a retail shelf, and

wherein the structural packaging includes a transparent, rectangular, clamshell configuration.

17 . A packaging system comprising:

a structural packaging,

an interior packaging, and

an exterior portion;

wherein the exterior portion is directly coupled to the interior packaging;

wherein the exterior portion extends from within the structural packaging to outside of the structural packaging;

wherein the exterior portion includes one or more folding features configured to enable the exterior portion to bend and/or conform to one or more structural features of the structural packaging; and

wherein the interior packaging includes a paper insert.
