Abstract

Systems and methods for playback of generative media content via wearable audio playback devices such as headphones are disclosed. In one method, the wearable device detects that it is being worn by a user, and obtains one or more input parameters via a network interface. Next, generative media content is generated based on the one or more input parameters and played back via the wearable playback device. In some examples, after detecting that the wearable playback device is no longer being worn by the user, playback ceases.

Claims (47)

1 . A system comprising:

a network interface;

a first computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a first device, cause the first device to perform first operations comprising:

receiving, via a sensor on a wearable device, sensor data,

sending, via the network interface, first data corresponding to the sensor data,

determining that the wearable device is being worn on a user's head, and

after determining that the wearable device is being worn on the user's head, playing back first audio content via one or more audio transducers, the first audio content corresponding to the received sensor data; and

a second computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a second device, cause the second device to perform operations comprising:

receiving, via the network interface, the first data,

generating, via a generative media module comprising one or more machine learning models, synthetic content based on the received first data, the synthetic content comprising at least the first audio content, and

sending, via the network interface, the first audio content to the first device for playback by the wearable device.

2 . The system of claim 1 , the first operations further comprising:

after determining that the wearable device is no longer being worn, stopping playback of the first audio content of the synthetic content.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the wearable device includes a camera.

4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the sensor comprises a microphone.

5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the first data includes a voice command received via the microphone.

6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the sensor comprises a camera.

7 . The system of claim 6 , wherein the first data includes image data received via the camera.

8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the sensor comprises a microphone, the first operations further comprising:

receiving image data via a camera; and

receiving voice data via the microphone,

wherein the first data comprises the received image data and the received voice data.

9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the wearable device includes the first computer-readable medium and the network interface.

10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the wearable device comprises an extended reality device.

11 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the wearable device is a smart glass device comprising a frame and at least one lens.

12 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first device comprises at least one of a controller, a mobile device, a local hub device, or a server.

13 . A method, performed by a computing system comprising a wearable device, a second device, and a network interface, the method comprising:

under control of the wearable device,

receiving, via a sensor on the wearable device, sensor data,

sending, via the network interface, first data corresponding to the sensor data,

determining that the wearable device is being worn on a user's head, and

after determining that the wearable device is being worn on the user's head, playing back first audio content via one or more audio transducers, the first audio content corresponding to the received sensor data; and

under control of the second device,

receiving, via the network interface, the first data,

generating, via a generative media module comprising one or more machine learning models, synthetic content based on the received first data, the synthetic content comprising at least the first audio content, and

sending, via the network interface, the first audio content to the wearable device for playback by the wearable device.

14 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising:

after determining that the wearable device is no longer being worn, stopping playback of the first audio content of the synthetic content.

15 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the sensor comprises a camera and wherein the first data includes image data received via the camera.

16 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the sensor comprises a microphone and wherein the first data includes a voice command received via the microphone.

17 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the wearable device comprises an extended reality device.

18 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the wearable device is a smart glass device comprising a frame and at least one lens.

19 . One or more tangible, non-transitory computer-readable media storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a system, cause the system to perform operations comprising:

receiving, via a network interface, first data corresponding to sensor data collected via a sensor on a wearable device;

generating, via a generative media module comprising one or more machine learning models, synthetic content based on the received first data, the synthetic content comprising at least first audio content; and

sending, via the network interface, the first audio content to the wearable device, wherein the wearable device is configured to determine that the wearable device is being worn on a user's head and after determining that the wearable device is being worn on the user's head, play back the first audio content via one or more audio transducers, the first audio content corresponding to the sensor data.

20 . The one or more tangible, non-transitory computer-readable media of claim 19 , wherein the wearable device is a smart glass device comprising a frame and at least one lens.
