Abstract

A wireless network can manage interference between different guest enterprises operating in overlapping coverage regions on the same spectrum. A first connection can be established between a host control unit (CU) of a wireless network host and a first enterprise CU of a first enterprise. A second connection can be established between the host CU and a second enterprise CU of a second enterprise. The first enterprise is associated with a first cell site and the second enterprise is associated with a second cell site, and the first cell site includes an overlapping coverage region with the second cell site. Transmissions from the first and second enterprises are coordinated in the overlapping coverage region based on load information or mobility information from the first cell site and the second cell site. The load information or mobility information is transmitted over the first connection or the second connection.

Claims (42)

1 . A method of managing interference on a wireless network, comprising:

establishing a first connection between a host control unit (CU) of a wireless network host and a first enterprise CU of a first enterprise;

establishing a second connection between the host CU and a second enterprise CU of a second enterprise,

wherein the first enterprise is associated with a first cell site and the second enterprise is associated with a second cell site,

wherein the first cell site includes an overlapping coverage region with the second cell site; and

coordinating transmissions from the first and second enterprises in the overlapping coverage region based on load information or mobility information from the first cell site and the second cell site, wherein the load information or mobility information is transmitted over the first connection or the second connection.

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising establishing a third connection between the first enterprise CU and the second enterprise CU for sharing the load information at the first cell site and the second cell site.

3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising allocating a first bandwidth to the first cell site based on a time resource, a frequency resource, or a power resource of the second cell site.

4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising coordinating the transmissions based on service level agreements between the wireless network host and the first enterprise or the second enterprise.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein coordinating transmissions further comprises synchronizing uplink transmissions and downlink transmissions of first user equipment (UE) of the first enterprise and second UE of the second enterprise operating in a same spectrum in the overlapping coverage region.

6 . The method of claim 5 , further comprising allocating, in the overlapping coverage region, a first grant-free resource to the first enterprise and a second grant-free resource to the second enterprise.

7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the first grant-free resource comprises a resource for Ultra-Reliable and Low-Latency Communications (URLLC) at the first cell site in the overlapping coverage region.

8 . The method of claim 6 , further comprising transmitting, by an industrial-Internet-of-things (IIoT) device of the first enterprise, a packet using the first grant-free resource.

9 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

allocating, by a first distributed unit (DU) of the first enterprise in coordination with the first enterprise CU, a first bandwidth to a first user equipment of the first enterprise operating in the overlapping coverage region; and

allocating, by a second DU of the second enterprise in coordination with the second enterprise CU, a second bandwidth to a second user equipment of the second enterprise operating in the overlapping coverage region, wherein the first bandwidth is different from the second bandwidth.

10 . A wireless network, comprising:

a host central unit (CU) of a wireless network host;

a first enterprise CU in communication host CU and operating a first cell site, wherein the first enterprise CU manages a first guest network of a first enterprise; and

second enterprise CU in communication with the host CU and operating a second cell site,

wherein the second enterprise CU manages a second guest network of a second enterprise,

wherein the first cell site and the second cell site operate in an overlapping coverage region, and

wherein the host CU is configured to coordinate transmissions from the first and second enterprises in the overlapping coverage region based on load information or mobility information from the first cell site and the second cell site.

11 . The wireless network of claim 10 , wherein the host CU is configured to coordinate uplink and downlink transmission requests between a first user equipment (UE) served by the first enterprise CU and a second UE served by the first enterprise CU, wherein the first UE and second UE are in the overlapping coverage region.

12 . The wireless network of claim 10 , wherein the host CU is configured to coordinate the transmissions based on service level agreements between the wireless network host and the first enterprise or the second enterprise.

13 . The wireless network of claim 10 , wherein a connection is established between the first enterprise CU and the second enterprise CU, wherein the load information at the first cell site and the second cell site is shared over the connection.

14 . The wireless network of claim 10 , wherein the host CU is configured to allocate a first bandwidth to the first cell site based on a time resource, a frequency resource, or a power resource of the second cell site.

15 . The wireless network of claim 10 , wherein the host CU is configured to synchronize uplink transmissions and downlink transmissions of first user equipment (UE) of the first enterprise and second UE of the second enterprise operating in the overlapping coverage region.

16 . The wireless network of claim 10 , wherein the host CU is configured to allocate, in the overlapping coverage region, a first grant-free resource to the first enterprise and a second grant-free resource to the second enterprise.

17 . The wireless network of claim 16 , wherein the first grant-free resource comprises a resource for Ultra-Reliable and Low-Latency Communications (URLLC) at the first cell site in the overlapping coverage region.

18 . The wireless network of claim 16 , further comprising wherein an industrial-Internet-of-things (IIoT) device of the first enterprise is configured to transmit a packet using the first grant-free resource.

19 . The wireless network of claim 16 , wherein a first distributed unit (DU) of the first enterprise is configured to coordinate with the CU of the first enterprise and to allocate a first bandwidth to a first user equipment of the first enterprise operating in the overlapping coverage region,

wherein a second DU of the second enterprise is configured to coordinate with the CU of the second enterprise to allocate a second bandwidth to a second user equipment of the second enterprise operating in the overlapping coverage region, and

wherein the first bandwidth is different from the second bandwidth.

20 . A method, comprising:

establishing a first connection between a host control unit (CU) and a first enterprise CU of a first enterprise;

establishing a second connection between the host CU and a second enterprise CU of a second enterprise,

wherein the first enterprise is associated with a first cell site and the second enterprise is associated with a second cell site,

wherein the first cell site includes an overlapping coverage region with the second cell site;

establishing a third connection between the first enterprise CU and the second enterprise CU; and

coordinating transmissions from the first and second enterprises in the overlapping coverage region based on load information or mobility information from the first cell site and the second cell site,

wherein the load information or mobility information is transmitted over the first connection, the second connection, or the third connection.
