Abstract

A system, method and computer program product are provided for decreasing the time with which a first table and a second table is synchronized. Initially, a threshold value amount, i.e. monetary value, is identified. In use, the first table and the second table are synchronized. The manner (such as speed) with which the synchronization is executed may then be based on the threshold value amount.

Claims (50)

1. A meted for synchronizing a first table and a second table, comprising:

(a) determining a threshold value amount;

(b) synchronizing a first table wit a second table; and

(c) wherein a manner in which the synchronization is executed is based on the threshold value amount;

(d) wherein occurrences of when data is not synchronized between the first table and the second table are tracked, values associated with the data are identified, and the values are processed to determine if the threshold value amount is exceeded.

2. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the threshold value amount is indicative of an amount of value corresponding to a lack of perfect synchronization between the first table and the second table.

3. The method as recited in claim 2 , wherein the components of the data being synchronized have a value amount associated therewith.

4. The method as recited in claim 2 , and further comprising determining whether a user is affected by the lack of perfect synchronization between the first table and the second table.

5. The method as recited in claim 2 , and further comprising determining whether a set of users are affected by the lack of perfect synchronization between the first table and the second table.

6. The method as recited in claim 5 , wherein the threshold represents an average value considering a number of the users.

7. The method as recited in claim 5 , and further comprising determining a number of the users affected by the lack of perfect synchronization between the first table and the second table.

8. The method as recited in claim 7 , and further comprising rejecting the synchronization if the number of the users exceeds a predetermined amount.

9. The method as recited in claim 2 , and further comprising rejecting the synchronization if at least one predetermined user is affected by the lack of perfect synchronization between the first table and the second table.

10. The method as recited in claim 2 , and further comprising rejecting the synchronization if an average amount of lack of synchronization among a plurality of users exceeds a threshold.

11. The method as recited in claim 1 , and further comprising rejecting the synchronization if the threshold value amount is exceeded.

12. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the value is in terms of monetary value.

13. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the tables are components of databases.

14. The method as recited in claim 13 , wherein at least one of the databases is persistent.

15. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the first table and the second table are synchronized utilizing the Internet.

16. The method as recited in claim 1 , and further comprising rejecting the synchronization if the threshold of a predetermined user is exceeded.

17. The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein a trigger with which the synchronization is executed is based on the threshold value amount.

18. A method for synchronizing a first table and a second table, comprising:

(a) determining a threshold value amount; and

(b) synchronizing a first table with a second table;

(c) wherein a manner in which the synchronization is executed is based on the threshold value amount;

(d) wherein the threshold value amount is indicative of an amount of value corresponding to a lack of perfect synchronization between the first table and the second tablet;

(e) wherein the components of data being synchronized have a value amount associated therewith;

(f) wherein occurrences of when the data is not synchronized between the first table and the second table are tracked, values associated with the data are identified, and the values are added to a sum to determine if the threshold value amount is exceeded.

19. A computer program product embodied on a computer readable medium for synchronizing a first table and a second table, comprising:

(a) computer code for determining a threshold value amount;

(b) computer code for synchronizing a first table with a second table; and

(c) wherein a manner in which the synchronization is executed is based on the threshold value amount;

(d) wherein occurrences of when data is not synchronized between the first table and the second table are tracked, values associated with the data are identified, and the values are processed to determine if the threshold value amount is exceeded.

20. A system for synchronizing a first table and a second table, comprising:

(a) logic for determining a threshold value amount;

(b) logic for synchronizing a first table with a second table; and

(c) wherein a manner in which the synchronization is executed is based on the threshold value amount;

(d) wherein occurrences of when data is not synchronized between the first table and the second table are tracked, values associated with the data are identified, and the values are processed to determine if the threshold value amount is exceeded.

21. A method for synchronizing a first table and a second table, comprising:

(a) determining a threshold value amount;

(b) synchronizing a first table with a second table; and

(c) rejecting the synchronization if the threshold value amount is exceeded;

(d) wherein occurrences of when data is not synchronized between the first table and the second table are tracked, values associated with the data are identified, and the values are processed to determine if the threshold value amount is exceeded.

22. The method as recited in claim 21 , wherein the value is in terms of monetary value.

23. A computer program product embodied on a computer readable medium for synchronizing a first table and a second table, comprising:

(a) computer program product for determining a threshold value amount;

(b) computer program product for synchronizing a first table with a second table; and

(c) computer program product for rejecting the synchronization if the threshold value amount is exceeded;

(d) wherein occurrences of when data is not synchronized between the first table and the second table are tracked, values associated with the data are identified, and the values are processed to determine if the threshold value amount is exceeded.

24. The computer program product as recited in claim 23 , wherein the value is in terms of monetaty value.
