Claims (2)
1. A polypeptide which binds calcium channels of invertebrate pests which is substantially non-toxic against vertebrates, comprising a polypeptide isolated from Hydronyche versuta having a molecular mass of approximately 4,400 to 4,500 Daltons, and comprising about 45 amino acids.
2. The polypeptide of claim 1 , wherein the polypeptide further comprises the capacity to form three intrachain disulfide bonds.
