Zinc finger binding domains for GNN
Zinc finger-nucleotide binding polypeptides having binding specificity for target nucleotides containing one or GNN triplets are provided. Compositions containing such polypeptides and the use of such polypeptides and compositions for regulating gene expression are also provided.
1. An isolated and purified zinc finger-nucleotide binding polypeptide that contains from two to 6 nucleotide binding regions, said nucleotide binding regions selected from the group consisting of the amino acid sequences depicted in SEQ ID NO: 32 through SEQ ID NO: 37.
2. The isolated and purified zinc finger-nucleotide binding polypeptide of claim 1 wherein at least one of the regions is SEQ ID NO:32.
3. The isolated and purified zinc finger-nucleotide binding polypeptide of claim 1 wherein at least one of the regions is SEQ ID NO:33.
4. The isolated and purified zinc finger-nucleotide binding polypeptide of claim 1 wherein at least one of the regions is SEQ ID NO:34.
5. The isolated and purified zinc finger-nucleotide binding polypeptide of claim 1 wherein at least one of the regions is SEQ ID NO:35.
6. The isolated and purified zinc finger-nucleotide binding polypeptide of claim 1 wherein at least one of the regions is SEQ ID NO:36.
7. The isolated and purified zinc finger-nucleotide binding polypeptide of claim 1 wherein at least one of the regions is SEQ ID NO:37.
8. The isolated and purified zinc finger-nucleotide binding polypeptide of claim 1 wherein at least one of the regions is SEQ ID NO:32 and at least one of the regions is SEQ ID NQ:33.
9. The isolated and purified zinc finger-nucleotide binding polypeptide of claim 1 wherein at least one of the regions is SEQ ID NO:32 and at least one of the regions is SEQ ID NO:34.
10. The isolated and purified zinc finger-nucleotide binding polypeptide of claim 1 wherein at least one of the regions is SEQ 11) NO:32 and at least one of the regions is SEQ ID NO:35.
11. The isolated and purified zinc finger-nucleotide binding polypeptide of claim 1 wherein at least one of the regions is SEQ ID NO:32 and at least one of the regions is SEQ ID NO:36.
12. The isolated and purified zinc finger-nucleotide binding polypeptide of claim 1 wherein at least one of the regions is SEQ ID NO:32 and at least one of the regions is SEQ ID NO:37.
13. The isolated and purified zinc finger nucleotide binding polypeptide of claim 1 wherein the polypeptide contains two nucleotide binding regions.
14. The isolated and purified zinc finger nucleotide binding polypeptide of claim 1 wherein the polypeptide contains three nucleotide binding regions.
15. The isolated and purified zinc finger nucleotide binding polypeptide of claim 1 wherein the polypeptide contains four nucleotide binding regions.
16. The isolated and purified zinc finger nucleotide binding polypeptide of claim 1 wherein the polypeptide contains five nucleotide binding regions.
17. The isolated and purified zinc finger nucleotide binding polypeptide of claim 1 wherein the polypeptide contains six nucleotide binding regions.
