INTEGRALLY VACUUM-PACKING DIAPER AND ACCESSORIES
A method of making a kit includes vacuum-sealing a plurality of components within an interior space of an air impermeable encasement. One of the components is a diaper and another component is a diaper accessory.
1 . A method of making a diaper kit, comprising the steps of:
(a) disposing a compressible unused diaper and at least one diaper accessory together within an interior space of an air impermeable encasement; and
(b) vacuum-sealing the diaper and the at least one diaper accessory within the interior space of the encasement.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the diaper accessory includes moist wipes that are prepackaged within a moisture impermeable encasement.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one diaper accessory comprises one of the group of cologne, perfume, and an odor-reducing spray.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one diaper accessory comprises a dirty diaper disposal bag.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the diaper kit is pocket sized.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the encasement further comprises a tab that facilitates opening of the encasement for release of the diaper and the at least one diaper accessory therefrom.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the encasement is formed from a flexible material.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the encasement comprises at least a portion thereof that is transparent such that one of the diaper and the accessory are viewable through the encasement.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the vacuum-sealed diaper includes printed indicia thereon, and further comprising the step of arranging the vacuum-sealed diaper within the encasement such that the printed indicia is visible through a transparent portion of the encasement.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein said step (b) comprises creating a pressure within the interior space of the encasement on the order of magnitude of millibars.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the pressure is between about 5 millibars and about 1 millibar.
12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the diaper is the only diaper disposed within the encasement.
13 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising the step of folding the diaper along a lengthwise aspect of the diaper in its nominal configuration prior to disposing the diaper within the interior space of the encasement.
14 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the diaper is sized for an incontinent adult.
15 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the diaper and the diaper accessory are disposed and vacuum-sealed within the same compartment of the encasement.
16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the diaper and the diaper accessory vacuum-sealed within the encasement are disposed in abut with each other when vacuum-sealed within the encasement.
17 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the diaper accessory is prepackaged prior to being vacuum-sealed with the diaper within the encasement.
18 . A method of vacuum-packing a diaper, comprising:
(a) disposing a compressible unused diaper and at least one diaper accessory within an air impermeable encasement; and
(b) vacuum-sealing the diaper with the at least one diaper accessory within the air impermeable encasement.
19 . A method of vacuum-packing a kit used in changing a diaper, comprising:
(a) disposing a plurality of components in an air impermeable encasement, one of the components including a diaper accessory; and
(b) vacuum-sealing the components together within the air impermeable encasement.
20 . The method of claim 19 , wherein a component comprises a compressible unused diaper.
