Method of production of beer for distribution
A method for distributed production of beer includes the steps of: producing multiple barrels of hopped wort in a brew kettle; chilling the hopped wort and transferring it to a transportation vessel on a vehicle; transporting the chilled hopped wort to a brew pub; transferring the hopped wort into a fermentation vessel at the brew pub; elevating the hopped wort to an appropriate fermentation temperature; and adding a predetermined amount of yeast cells to the hopped wort in the fermentation vessel to produce beer.
1 . A method for distributed production of commercial volumes of beer, comprising:
(a) producing multiple barrels of hopped wort in a brew kettle;
(b) chilling the hopped wort and transferring it into an insulated, aerobic, and unpressurized transportation vessel on a vehicle wherein the hopped wort is chilled to a temperature of approximately 29° F. to 40° f.;
(c) transporting the chilled hopped wort to any of a plurality of brewing pubs;
(d) transferring the hopped wort into a fermentation vessel at a brew pub;
(e) elevating the hopped wort to an appropriate fermentation temperature; and
(f) adding a predetermined amount of yeast cells to the hopped wort in the fermentation vessel to produce beer.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the chilling of the hopped wort occurs after transferring to the transportation vessel.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the transportation vessel is refrigerated.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein at least 8 to 13 barrels of hopped wort are produced.
5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of transportation vessels on the vehicle, each vessel having a capacity of approximately 8 barrels of wort.
6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein each of the plurality of transportation vessels further comprises a temperature-controlled chilling unit.
7 . A method for distributed production of commercial volumes of beer, comprising:
(a) producing multiple barrels of hopped wort in a brew kettle;
(b) transferring the hopped wort into an insulated, aerobic, and unpressurized, refrigerated transportation vessel on a vehicle;
(c) transporting the hopped wort to any of a plurality of brewing pubs;
(d) transferring the hopped wort into a fermentation vessel at a brew pub;
(e) elevating the hopped wort to an appropriate fermentation temperature; and
(f) adding a predetermined amount of yeast cells to the hopped wort in the fermentation vessel to produce beer.
8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein at least 8 to 13 barrels of hopped wort are produced.
9 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising a plurality of transportation vessels on the vehicle, each vessel having a capacity of approximately 8 barrels of wort.
10 . A method for distributed production of commercial volumes of beer, comprising:
(a) producing multiple barrels of hopped wort in a brew kettle;
(b) transferring and chilling the hopped wort to a holding vessel wherein the hopped wort is chilled to a temperature of approximately 0° F. to 60° f.;
(c) transferring the chilled hopped wort into an insulated, aerobic, and unpressurized transportation vessel on a vehicle;
(d) transporting the chilled hopped wort to any of a plurality of brewing pubs;
(e) transferring the hopped wort into a fermentation vessel at a brew pub;
(f) elevating the hopped wort to an appropriate fermentation temperature; and
(g) adding a predetermined amount of yeast cells to the hopped wort in the fermentation vessel to produce beer.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the chilling of the hopped wort occurs after transferring to the transportation vessel.
12 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the transportation vessel is refrigerated.
13 . The method of claim 10 , wherein at least 8 to 13 barrels of hopped wort are produced.
14 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising a plurality of transportation vessels on the vehicle, each vessel having a capacity of approximately 8 barrels of wort.
15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein each of the plurality of transportation vessels further comprises a temperature-controlled chilling unit.
16 . A method for distributed production of commercial volumes of beer, comprising:
(a) producing multiple barrels of hopped wort in a brew kettle;
(b) transferring and chilling the hopped wort to a holding vessel, wherein the hopped wort is chilled to a temperature of approximately 29° F. to 40° f.;
(c) transferring the chilled hopped wort from the holding vessel into a transportation vessel on a vehicle;
(d) transporting the chilled hopped wort to any of a plurality of brewing pubs;
(e) transferring the chilled hopped wort from the transportation vessel on the vehicle into a fermentation vessel at the brew pub;
(f) elevating the chilled hopped wort to an appropriate fermentation temperature; and
(g) adding a predetermined amount of yeast cells to the hopped wort in the fermentation vessel to produce beer.
17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the chilling of the hopped wort occurs after transferring to the transportation vessel.
18 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the transportation vessel is refrigerated.
19 . The method of claim 16 , wherein at least 8 to 13 barrels of hopped wort are produced.
20 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising a plurality of transportation vessels on the vehicle, each vessel having a capacity of approximately 8 barrels of wort.
21 . The method of claim 20 , wherein each of the plurality of transportation vessels further comprises a temperature-controlled chilling unit.
22 . A method for distributing production of commercial volumes of beer, comprising:
(a) producing multiple barrels of hopped wort in a brew kettle at a first location;
(b) transferring a first portion of the hopped wort to a fermentation vessel at the first location to produce beer;
(c) transferring and chilling a second portion of the hopped wort into an insulated, aerobic, and unpressurized transportation vessel on a vehicle wherein the hopped wort is chilled to a temperature of approximately 29° F. to 40° f.;
(d) transporting the chilled hopped wort to any of a plurality of brewing pubs;
(e) transferring the chilled hopped wort into a fermentation vessel at the brew pub;
(f) elevating the chilled hopped wort temperature to an appropriate fermentation temperature; and
(g) adding a predetermined amount of yeast cells to the hopped wort in the fermentation vessel to produce beer.
23 . The method of claim 22 , wherein the chilling of the hopped wort occurs after transferring to the transportation vessel.
24 . The method of claim 22 , wherein the transportation vessel is refrigerated.
25 . A method for distributing production of commercial volumes of beer, comprising:
(a) producing multiple barrels of hopped wort in a brew kettle at a first location;
(b) transferring a first portion of the hopped wort to a fermentation vessel at the first location to produce beer;
(c) transferring a second portion of the hopped wort into an insulated, aerobic, and unpressurized, refrigerated transportation vessel on a vehicle;
(d) transporting the hopped wort to any of a plurality of brewing pubs;
(e) transferring the hopped wort into a fermentation vessel at the brew pub;
(f) elevating the hopped wort temperature to an appropriate fermentation temperature; and
(g) adding a predetermined amount of yeast cells to the hopped wort in the fermentation vessel to produce beer.
26 . A method for distributing production of commercial volumes of beer, comprising:
(a) producing multiple barrels of hopped wort in a brew kettle at a first location;
(b) transferring a first portion of the hopped wort to a fermentation vessel at the first location to produce beer;
(c) transferring and chilling a second portion of the hopped wort to a holding vessel at the first location, wherein the hopped wort is chilled to a temperature of approximately 0° F. to 60° F.;
(d) transferring the chilled hopped wort into an insulated, aerobic, and unpressurized transportation vessel on a vehicle;
(e) transporting the chilled hopped wort to any of a plurality of brewing pubs;
(f) transferring the chilled hopped wort into a fermentation vessel at the brew pub;
(g) elevating the chilled hopped wort temperature to an appropriate fermentation temperature; and
(h) adding a predetermined amount of yeast cells to the hopped wort in the fermentation vessel to produce beer.
27 . A method for distributing production of commercial volumes of beer, comprising:
(a) producing multiple barrels of hopped wort in a brew kettle at a first location;
(b) transferring a first portion of the hopped wort to a fermentation vessel at the first location to produce beer;
(c) transferring and chilling a second portion of the hopped wort to a holding vessel at the first location, wherein the hopped wort is chilled to a temperature of approximately 29° F. to 40° F.;
(d) transferring the chilled hopped wort into a transportation vessel on a vehicle;
(e) transporting the chilled hopped wort to any of a plurality of brewing pubs;
(f) transferring the chilled hopped wort into a fermentation vessel at the brew pub;
(g) elevating the chilled hopped wort temperature to an appropriate fermentation temperature; and
(h) adding a predetermined amount of yeast cells to the hopped wort in the fermentation vessel to produce beer.
28 . A method for distributed production of commercial volumes of beer, comprising the steps of:
(a) at a first facility, producing multiple barrels of hopped wort in a brew kettle;
(b) transferring and chilling the hopped wort into an insulated, aerobic, and unpressurized transportation vessel on a vehicle, wherein the hopped wort is chilled to a temperature of approximately 29° to 40° F.;
(c) transporting the chilled hopped wort to any of a plurality of second facilities;
(d) at the second facility, transferring the hopped wort into a fermentation vessel; and
(e) adding a predetermined amount of yeast cells to the hopped wort in the fermentation vessel to produce beer.
29 . The method of claim 28 , wherein the chilling of the hopped wort occurs after transferring to the transportation vessel.
30 . The method of claim 28 , wherein the transportation vessel is refrigerated.
31 . The method of claim 28 , wherein at least 8 to 13 barrels of hopped wort are produced.
32 . The method of claim 28 , further comprising a plurality of transportation vessels on the vehicle, each vessel having a capacity of approximately 8 barrels of wort.
33 . The method of claim 32 , wherein each of the plurality of transportation vessels further comprises a temperature-controlled chilling unit.
34 . A method for distributed production of commercial volumes of beer, comprising the steps of:
(a) at a first facility, producing multiple barrels of hopped wort in a brew kettle;
(b) transferring the hopped wort into an insulated, aerobic, and unpressurized, refrigerated transportation vessel on a vehicle;
(c) transporting the hopped wort to any of a plurality of second facilities;
(d) at the second facility, transferring the hopped wort into a fermentation vessel; and
(e) adding a predetermined amount of yeast cells to the hopped wort in the fermentation vessel to produce beer.
35 . A method for distributed production of commercial volumes of beer, comprising the steps of:
(a) at a first facility, producing multiple barrels of hopped wort in a brew kettle;
(b) chilling a portion of the hopped wort from about 212° F. to about 0° F. to 60° F.;
(c) transferring the chilled hopped wort to a holding vessel;
(d) storing the chilled hopped wort in the holding vessel;
(e) transferring the chilled hopped wort from the holding vessel into an insulated, aerobic, and unpressurized transportation vessel on a vehicle;
(f) transporting the chilled hopped wort to any of a plurality of second facilities;
(g) at the second facility, transferring the hopped wort into a fermentation vessel; and
(h) adding a predetermined amount of yeast cells to the hopped wort in the fermentation vessel to produce beer.
36 . A method for distributed production of commercial volumes of beer, comprising the steps of:
(a) at a first facility, producing multiple barrels of hopped wort in a brew kettle;
(b) chilling a portion of the hopped wort from about 212° F. to about 29° F. to 40° F.;
(c) transferring the chilled hopped wort to a holding vessel;
(d) storing the chilled hopped wort in the holding vessel;
(e) transferring the chilled hopped wort from the holding vessel into a transportation vessel on a vehicle;
(f) transporting the chilled hopped wort to any of a plurality of second facilities;
(g) at the second facility, transferring the hopped wort into a fermentation vessel; and
(h) adding a predetermined amount of yeast cells to the hopped wort in the fermentation vessel to produce beer.
37 . The method of claim 36 , wherein the chilling of the hopped wort occurs after transferring to the transportation vessel.
38 . The method of claim 36 , wherein the transportation vessel is refrigerated.
39 . The method of claim 36 , wherein at least 8 to 13 barrels of hopped wort are produced.
40 . The method of claim 36 , further comprising a plurality of transportation vessels on the vehicle, each vessel having a capacity of approximately 8 barrels of wort.
41 . The method of claim 36 , wherein each of the plurality of transportation vessels further comprises a temperature-controlled chilling unit.
