Systems and methods for remanufacturing imaging components
A dual-gasket seal for a toner cartridge includes a first gasket, a second gasket, a removable seal disposed between the first gasket and the second gasket, and a lubricating element attached a first end of the second gasket and adapted to aid the sliding of the removable seal when the removable seal is removed.
1 . A dual-gasket seal for attachment to a toner hopper sealing surface of a toner cartridge comprising:
a first gasket adapted for attachment to the toner hopper sealing surface;
a second gasket;
a removable seal disposed between the first gasket and the second gasket; and
an anti-stick film attached a first end of the second gasket and adapted to aid the sliding of the removable seal when the removable seal is removed.
2 . The dual-gasket seal of claim I wherein the removable seal is attached to the first gasket.
3 . The dual-gasket seal of claim 2 further comprising a tail attached to one end of the removable seal and wherein the anti-stick film is adapted to aid the sliding of the tail when the tail and the removable seal are removed.
4 . The dual-gasket seal of claim 3 wherein the removable seal comprises two layers.
5 . The dual-gasket seal of claim 4 wherein the second gasket is attached to the first gasket.
6 . The dual gasket seal of claim I wherein the second gasket comprises a compressible material.
7 . The dual gasket seal of claim 6 wherein the compressible material is foam.
8 . The dual gasket seal of claim I wherein the anti-stick film comprises polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).
9 . The dual gasket seal of claim 8 wherein the anti-stick film is approximately 0.004 inches thick.
10 . The dual gasket seal of claim I wherein the anti-stick film is approximately 0.004 inches thick.
