Abstract

A method of verifying a blackout event is disclosed that includes receiving blackout event data from an event log database of a video distribution platform at a subscriber event transmission interface (SETI) communicating with an electronic data warehouse (EDW) system. The method also includes creating at least one EDW load-ready file that includes at least a portion of the blackout event data.

9. The system of claim 8 , wherein the first data transformation services process includes a blackout event identification associated with the blackout event data.

10. The system of claim 8 , wherein the staging database is adapted to receive and store the blackout event data from the event log database as a parsable data file.

11. The system of claim 10 , wherein the data transformation services module is executable by the processing logic to parse the parsable data file into a plurality of data elements via a second data transformation services process, and wherein the electronic data warehouse load-ready file includes a data element of the plurality of data elements.

12. The system of claim 10 , wherein the parsable data file includes an extensible markup language message, a binary large object file, a comma separated value object, or any combination thereof.

14. The system of claim 13 , wherein the transport module is executable by the processing logic to send the electronic data warehouse load-ready file to the electronic data warehouse via a file transfer protocol.

15. The system of claim 13 , wherein the subscriber event transmission interface system includes an interface to a secure internet protocol network, and wherein the subscriber event transmission interface is adapted to communicate with the electronic data warehouse via the secure internet protocol network.

16. The system of claim 15 , wherein the transport module is executable by the processing logic to send data to the electronic data warehouse via the secure internet protocol network using a mechanized identification.

17. The system of claim 15 , wherein the subscriber event transmission interface system, the electronic data warehouse, and the secure internet protocol network are included in a data center in communication with the video distribution platform and wherein the video distribution platform includes a head-end.

18. The system of claim 7 , wherein the subscriber event transmission interface system is adapted to communicate with a plurality of video distribution platforms.

19. The system of claim 18 , wherein the plurality of video distribution platforms includes an internet protocol television video head-end office, a cable video head-end office, a satellite video head-end office, or any combination thereof.

20. The system of claim 7 , wherein the staging database stores the blackout event data for a time period after the file writing module pushes the electronic data warehouse load-ready file to the electronic data warehouse.

21. A system comprising:

an electronic data warehouse system including a processor and a storage device, the electronic data warehouse system configured to:

receive an electronic data warehouse load-ready file from a subscriber event transmission interface system, the electronic data warehouse load-ready file including blackout event data based on an executed blackout event;

store the blackout event data as stored blackout event data based on the electronic data warehouse load-ready file at the storage device; and
