Image displaying apparatus, image displaying method, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium

1. An apparatus comprising:

a key display unit configured to display a list of keys for searching for an image;

a key designating unit configured to designate the key among the list of keys;

an acquiring unit configured to acquire attribute information based on the designated key and image information on an image having the attribute information; and

a group information display unit configured to display information of images classified into a group corresponding to the attribute information based on the acquired attribute information and the acquired image information as a group information;

a group designating unit configured to designate at least one of a plurality groups into which images are classified; and

an image display unit configured to, when a group is designated by the group designating unit, automatically display at least one of a plurality of images belonging to the designated group,

an image switching unit configured to switch an image to be displayed by the image display unit, wherein, when the image switching unit switches the image to be displayed, the image display unit displays another image belonging to the group designated by the group designating unit,

wherein the key list displayed by the key display unit, the group information displayed by the group information display unit and the image displayed by the image display unit are displayed within one display screen together,

wherein the key designating unit, the group designating unit and the switching unit are different operating members.

2. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the apparatus is an image reproducing portion of a digital camera.

3. The apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the group information display unit displays the number of images belonging to each of a plurality of groups by a graph as the group information.

4. The apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the group information display unit displays a total file size of images belonging to each of a plurality of groups by a graph as the group information.

5. The apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the group information display unit displays the group designated by the group designating unit in a manner discriminatable from another group.

6. The apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the image display unit displays an image resized such that the image does not overlap a display provided by the key display unit.

7. The apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the operating members include direction buttons,

wherein the key designating unit is assigned to up and down buttons, and

wherein the group designating unit is assigned to left and right buttons.

8. The apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the image switching unit is assigned to a wheel member.

9. The apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein a function, which is performed when an operation is performed by the image switching unit, is changed according to the key designated by the key designating unit.

10. The apparatus according to claim 9 , wherein the key designating unit is configured to designate a moving image file as a key, and

wherein, when a moving image file is designated as the key, the image switching unit causes the image display unit to sequentially display frames of a moving image.

11. The apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising a key storing unit configured to store the key designated by the key designating unit when a mode for searching for an image is terminated.

12. The apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the operating members include direction buttons and a wheel member,

wherein the key designating unit is assigned to up and down buttons,

wherein the group designating unit is assigned to left and right buttons, and

wherein the image switching unit is assigned to the wheel member.

13. A method using a processor or a computer to perform the following:

displaying a list of keys for searching for an image;

designating the key among the list of keys;

acquiring attribute information based on the designated key and information on an image having the attribute information;

displaying, information of images classified into a group corresponding to the attribute information based on the acquired attribute information and the acquired image information as a group information;

designating at least one of a plurality groups into which images are classified; and

automatically displaying, when a group is designated, at least one of a plurality of images belonging to the designated group,

switching the image to be displayed, wherein, when the image to be displayed is switched, another image belonging to the group designated is displayed,

wherein the designating step, switching step and the automatic displaying step are performed by different operating members.

14. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a computer-executable process, the computer-executable process causing an apparatus to perform the method according to claim 13 .
