AUTOMATICALLY REFRESHING TAILORED PRICING FOR RETAIL ENERGY MARKET
Methods and systems for managing product development processes are provided. A method for providing energy pricing includes receiving a pricing component. The method also includes automatically determining multiple prices for supplying energy. Each price may be determined for a different energy consumer and may be based at least on information about the consumer and the pricing component. The method further includes outputting the plurality of prices for supplying energy.
1 . A method for providing energy pricing, comprising:
receiving a pricing component;
automatically determining a plurality of prices for supplying energy, each price determined for a different energy consumer and based at least on information about the consumer and the pricing component; and
outputting the plurality of prices for supplying energy.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
receiving an updated pricing component; and
automatically updating the plurality of prices for supplying energy based on at least the updated pricing component.
3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving a plurality of consumer profiles each having information on an energy consumer.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the updated pricing component is different for each of the plurality of consumer profiles.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the pricing component comprises a forecasted cost of energy supplied to the customer.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the pricing component comprises a margin.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein outputting the prices for supplying energy comprises offering to contract to supply energy to the consumer at the price.
8 . A system for providing energy pricing, comprising:
a pricing engine operable to receive a pricing component and automatically determine a plurality of prices for supplying energy, each price determined for a different energy consumer and based at least on information about the consumer and the pricing component; and
an interface operable to output the plurality of prices for supplying energy.
9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the pricing engine is further operable to receive an updated pricing component and automatically update the plurality of prices for supplying energy based on at least the updated pricing component.
10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the pricing engine is further operable to receive a plurality of consumer profiles each having information on an energy consumer.
11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the updated pricing component is different for each of the plurality of consumer profiles.
12 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the pricing component comprises a forecasted cost of energy supplied to the customer.
13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the pricing component comprises a margin.
14 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the output is operable to output a contract to supply energy to the consumer at the price.
15 . A computer readable media having instructions for a processor for performing operations comprising:
receiving a pricing component;
automatically determining a plurality of prices for supplying energy, each price determined for a different energy consumer and based at least on information about the consumer and the pricing component; and
outputting the plurality of prices for supplying energy.
16 . The computer readable media of claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise receiving an updated pricing component and automatically updating the plurality of prices for supplying energy based on at least the updated pricing component.
17 . The computer readable media of claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise receiving a plurality of consumer profiles each having information on an energy consumer.
18 . The computer readable media of claim 15 , wherein the updated pricing component is different for each of the plurality of consumer profiles.
19 . The computer readable media of claim 15 , wherein the pricing component comprises at least one of the set consisting of: a forecasted cost of energy supplied to the customer, and a margin.
20 . The computer readable media of claim 15 , wherein outputting comprises outputting an executable contract to supply energy to the consumer at the price.
21 . A method comprising:
receiving usage data for a customer;
providing a tailored price based on the usage data;
before receiving a request for an updated price, determining the updated price; and
providing the updated price.
22 . The method of claim 21 , wherein determining the updated price comprises:
receiving a change to a pricing component; and
automatically determining the updated price based on the change.
23 . The method of claim 21 , wherein providing the updated price comprises providing a current updated price throughout a time period over which a pricing component used in determining the price changes.
24 . The method of claim 21 , wherein providing the updated price comprises providing the updated price using a portal.
25 . A method comprising:
receiving information about a customer;
determining a price tailored to the information about the customer; and
displaying the price in a portal, wherein the portal is accessible through the internet.
