BICYCLE SEAT

1 . A bicycle seat comprising:

a small front-end section formed by a bifurcated nose with a longitudinally extending gap therebetween, the bifurcated nose having elongated protrusions being substantially parallel to each other, having a substantially constant width and providing a substantially flat pubis bone support surface;

the small front-end section transitioning to a medial section having a top, a bottom, and sides;

the medial section transitioning to a rear-end section that is substantially flat;

wherein the seat widens from the transition of the front-end section to the medial section as the seat extends to the rear-end section; and

wherein the longitudinally extending gap is approximately 30% to less than approximately 40% of a total length of the seat.

2 . The bicycle seat of claim 1 , wherein the longitudinally extending gap has a substantially constant width.

3 . The bicycle seat of claim 2 , wherein the width of the longitudinally extending gap is between approximately 15 to approximately 30 mm.

4 . The bicycle seat of claim 1 , wherein the total length of the seat is approximately 240 mm.

5 . The bicycle seat of claim 1 , wherein a total length of the front-end section is between approximately 50 to approximately 75 mm.

6 . The bicycle seat of claim 1 , wherein the two elongated protrusions have a maximum depth of between approximately 90 and approximately 100 mm.

7 . The bicycle seat of claim 1 , wherein the rear-end section is raised in comparison to the front-end section.

8 . The bicycle seat of claim 1 , wherein the elongated protrusions of the bifurcated nose have substantially vertical outer sides.

9 . A bicycle seat comprising:

a small front-end section formed by a bifurcated nose with a longitudinally extending gap therebetween, the bifurcated nose having elongated protrusions being substantially parallel to each other, having a substantially constant width, providing a substantially flat pubis bone support surface and having substantially vertical outer sides;

the small front-end section transitioning to a medial section having a top, a bottom, ad sides;

the medial section transitioning to a rear-end section that is substantially flat;

wherein the seat widens from the transition of the front-end section to the medial section as the seat extends to the rear-end section; and

wherein the longitudinally extending gap is approximately 30% to less than approximately 40% of a total length of the seat.

10 . The bicycle seat of claim 9 , wherein the width of the longitudinally extending gap is between approximately 15 to approximately 30 mm.

11 . The bicycle seat of claim 9 , wherein the total length of the seat is approximately 240 mm.

12 . The bicycle seat of claim 9 , wherein a length of the front-end section is between approximately 50 to approximately 75 mm.

13 . The bicycle seat of claim 8 , wherein the two elongated protrusions have a height of between approximately 90 and approximately 100 mm.

14 . The bicycle seat of claim 9 , wherein the rear-end section is raised in comparison to the front-end section.

15 . A bicycle seat comprising:

a small front-end section formed by a bifurcated nose with a longitudinally extending gap therebetween, the bifurcated nose having elongated protrusions being substantially parallel to each other, having a substantially constant width and providing a substantially flat pubis bone support surface;

the small front-end section transitioning to a medial section having a top, a bottom, and sides;

the medial section transitioning to a rear-end section that is substantially flat and limited in size to encourage a rider to use the bifurcate nose to support the rider's weight with on the bifurcated nose;

wherein the seat widens from the transition of the front-end section to the medial section as the seat extends to the rear-end section;

wherein the longitudinally extending gap is approximately 30% to less than approximately 40% of a total length of the seat; and

wherein the two elongated protrusions and the longitudinally extending gap therebetween are spaced and dimensioned to correspond to the pubis bones of the rider and the elongated protrusions of the bifurcated nose being substantially parallel to each other and having a substantially constant width maintains contact with the pubis bones of the rider as the rider rotates their hips;

wherein the longitudinally extending gap prevents contact with the user's perineal area and prevents pressure on the pudendal artery.

16 . The bicycle seat of claim 15 , wherein a width of the longitudinally extending gap is substantially constant.
