CONTENT DISTRIBUTION PRIORITIZATION USING DEMAND INDICES
A method of providing electronic content that includes matching electronic content to a plurality of destinations based on one or more criteria, assigning demand indices to each of the plurality of destinations based upon a determined value of the destination to the electronic content, determining an order of the plurality of destinations based on the demand indices, and transmitting the electronic content to at least one of the destinations in a manner giving priority based upon the determined order.
1 . A method of providing electronic content, comprising:
matching electronic content to a plurality of destinations based on one or more criteria;
assigning demand indices to each of the plurality of destinations based upon a determined value of the destination to the electronic content;
determining an order of the plurality of destinations based on the demand indices; and
transmitting the electronic content to at least one of the destinations in a manner giving priority based upon the determined order.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the transmitting of the electronic content in the manner giving priority includes:
transmitting the electronic content to a first of the plurality of destinations before transmitting the electronic content to a second of the plurality of destinations based on the first destination being higher in the determined order than the second destination.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the transmitting of the electronic content in the manner giving priority includes:
transmitting the electronic content to a first of the plurality of destinations and not transmitting the electronic content to a second of the plurality of destinations based on the first destination being higher in the determined order than the second destination.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the assigning of the demand indices includes: determining likely demographics of people present at the plurality of destinations; and assigning the demand indices to each one of the plurality of destinations based upon the determined likely demographics.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the assigning of the demand indices includes: assigning the demand indices to each of the plurality of destinations based upon a likely number of electronic devices present at the destination for receiving the electronic content.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determined value for at least one of the plurality of destinations includes likely demographics of people present at the at least one destination.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determined value for at least one of the plurality of destinations includes a likely number of the electronic devices present at the at least one destination for receiving the electronic content.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determined value for at least one of the plurality of destinations includes a likely number of impressions of the electronic content at the at least one destination.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determined value for at least one of the plurality of destinations includes a geographic location of the at least one destination.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determined value for at least one of the plurality of destinations includes at least one of a brand and a vendor associated with the at least one destination.
11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determined value for at least one of the plurality of destinations includes at least one of a brand and a vendor not associated with the at least one destination.
12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determined value for at least one of the plurality of destinations includes at least one of a date, a month, a day of the week and a time of day.
13 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determined value for at least one of the plurality of destinations includes an impression forecast associated with at least one of the electronic content and the at least one destination.
14 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determined value for at least one of the plurality of destinations includes a type of service provided at the at least one destination.
15 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the determined value for at least one of the plurality of destinations includes a type of business present at the at least one destination.
16 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more criteria includes periodically changing information about at least one of the plurality of destinations.
17 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more criteria includes a geographic location of at least one of the plurality of destinations.
18 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more criteria includes a type of service provided at least one of the plurality of destinations.
19 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more criteria includes a type of business present at least one of the plurality of destinations.
20 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more criteria includes at least one of a date, a month, a day of the week and a time of day.
21 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more criteria includes at least one of a vendor name and a brand name associated with at least one of the plurality of destinations.
22 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the one or more criteria includes at least one of a vendor name and a brand name that is not associated with at least one of the plurality of destinations.
