METHODS OF ADMINISTERING DALBAVANCIN FOR TREATMENT OF BACTERIAL INFECTIONS
The invention provides methods and compositions for treatment of bacterial infections. Methods of the invention include administration of dalbavancin for treatment of a bacterial infection, in particular a Gram-positive bacterial infection of skin and soft tissue. Dosing regimes include once weekly administration of dalbavancin, which often remains at therapeutic levels in the bloodstream for at least one week, providing prolonged therapeutic action against a bacterial infection.

65 . A pharmaceutical composition comprising:
dalbavancin containing MAG in an amount of less than about 3 mole percent;
at least one stabilizer, wherein said stabilizer inhibits degradation of one or more of the components of dalbavancin to less active or inactive materials;
wherein the composition is lyophilized; and
wherein the lyophilized pharmaceutical composition has a pH from about 3 to about 5 when reconstituted with water.
66 . The composition of claim 65 , wherein the dalbavancin contains MAG in an amount of less than about 2.5 mole percent.
67 . The composition of claim 65 , wherein the dalbavancin contains MAG in an amount of less than about 2 mole percent.
68 . The composition of claim 67 , wherein the aqueous solution comprising the pharmaceutical composition has a pH from about 3.5 to 4.5.
69 . The composition of claim 68 , wherein the stabilizer comprises at least one sugar.
70 . The composition of claim 69 , wherein the dalbavancin contains about 85 to 96 mole percent of B 0 .
71 . The composition of claim 65 , wherein the dalbavancin contains MAG in an amount of less than about 1.5 mole percent.
