Purine derivatives for use in the treatment of allergic, inflammatory and infectious diseases
The present invention relates to compounds of formula (I): wherein R 1 is C 1-6 alkylamino, or C 1-6 alkoxy; m is an integer having a value of 3, 4, or 5; n is an integer having a value of 0 to 3; p is an integer having a value of 1 or 2 and salts thereof are inducers of human interferon. Compounds which induce human interferon may be useful in the treatment of various disorders, for example the treatment of allergic diseases and other inflammatory conditions for example allergic rhinitis and asthma, the treatment of infectious diseases and cancer, and may also be useful as vaccine adjuvants.
1. A compound of formula (I):
wherein;
R 1 is C 1-6 alkylamino, or C 1-6 alkoxy;
m is an integer having a value of 3, 4, or 5;
n is an integer having a value of 0 to 3;
p is an integer having a value of 1 or 2;
or a salt thereof.
2. A compound according to claim 1 , or a salt thereof, wherein R 1 is (1S)-1-methylbutyl]oxy.
3. A compound according to claim 1 , or a salt thereof, wherein n is 0.
4. A compound according to claim 1 , or a salt thereof, wherein n is 1.
5. A compound according to claim 1 , or a salt thereof, wherein n is 2.
6. A compound or a salt thereof selected from the list consisting of:
6-amino-2-{[(1S)-1-methylbutyl]oxy}-9-{3-[(tetrahydro-2-furanylmethyl)amino]propyl}-7,9-dihydro-8H-purin-8-one;
6-amino-2-{[(1S)-1-methylbutyl]oxy}-9-(3-{[2-(tetrahydro-2-furanyl)ethyl]amino}propyl)-7,9-dihydro-8H-purin-8-one;
6-amino-2-{[(1S)-1-methylbutyl]oxy}-9-[5-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-ylamino)pentyl]-7,9-dihydro-8H-purin-8-one;
6-amino-2-{[(1S)-1-methylbutyl]oxy}-9-{4-[(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-ylmethyl)amino]butyl}-7,9-dihydro-8H-purin-8-one;
6-amino-2-{[(1S)-1-methylbutyl]oxy}-9-{5-[(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-ylmethyl)amino]pentyl}-7,9-dihydro-8H-purin-8-one;
6-amino-2-{[(1S)-1-methylbutyl]oxy}-9-{4-[(3R)-tetrahydro-3-furanylamino]butyl}-7,9-dihydro-8H-purin-8-one, and;
6-amino-2-{[(1S)-1-methylbutyl]oxy}-9-{4-[(3S)-tetrahydro-3-furanylamino]butyl}-7,9-dihydro-8H-purin-8-one;
and salts thereof.
7. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound as defined in claim 1 , or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable diluents or carriers.
