Abstract

Stepped portions of a flow channel are reduced by completely fixing the channel that extends to the measuring unit, and reducing connections in the channel, thereby to suppress a disturbance in the flow of the liquid suctioned into the measuring unit. A means is provided so that the reaction solution and reagent suctioned will move towards the channel through which the liquids are suctioned.

Claims (32)

1. An automated analyzer comprising:

a nozzle which suction a reagent and a reaction solution generated by mixing a sample, magnetic particles, an antibody that binds the magnetic particles to a substance in the sample that is to be measured, and a labeled antibody including a labeled substance, where the nozzle has a stationary position;

a measuring unit which quantitatively determines the substance to be measured in the sample, where the measuring unit is directly connected with the nozzle;

a reaction solution/reagent transport mechanism on which a reaction vessel that accommodates the reaction solution, more than one reagent vessel that each accommodates a reagent necessary for analysis, and a nozzle cleaning region are mounted on a retainer, and which integrally transports the reaction vessel, the more than one reagent vessel and the nozzle cleaning region by moving the retainer in accordance with a particular phase of the analysis, such that the reaction solution/reagent transport mechanism transports the reaction solution and the reagent necessary for analysis to a position at which the nozzle is adapted to suck the reaction solution or one of the reagents necessary for analysis;

a reaction disk which accepts a plurality of reaction vessels which accommodate the reaction solution; and

gripping means for gripping and carrying the reaction vessel;

wherein the gripping means carries the reaction vessel containing the reaction solution to be measured, from the reaction disk to the reaction solution/reagent transport mechanism, then after the nozzle has sucked the reaction solution, removes the reaction vessel from the reaction solution/reagent transport mechanism, and returns the reaction vessel to the reaction disk, for disposal.

2. The automated analyzer according to claim 1 , further comprising in either the nozzle or the reagent vessel:

means for detecting a liquid quantity of the reagent in the vessel.

3. The automated analyzer according to claim 2 , further comprising:

a reagent supply unit that supplies a reagent to the reagent vessel disposed on the reaction solution/reagent transport mechanism:

wherein the reagent supply unit determines supply timing of the reagent and a supply quantity thereof, according to the quantity of reagent detected by the reagent quantity detection means.

4. The automated analyzer according to claim 1 ,

wherein: the nozzle and measuring unit in the measuring unit flow channel are integrally formed.

5. The automated analyzer according to claim 1 , further comprising:

a horizontal movement mechanism which transfers one of the reaction vessel, the more than one reagent vessel, or the nozzle cleaning region mounted on the retainer linearly in a horizontal direction to a position below the nozzle; and

a vertical movement mechanism which transfers one of the reaction vessel, the more than one reagent vessel, or the nozzle cleaning region to a height at which the nozzle is adapted to suck the liquid;

wherein the horizontal movement mechanism and the vertical movement mechanism transfer the retainer in response to the particular phase of the analysis.

6. An automated analyzer comprising:

a nozzle which suction a reagent and a reaction solution generated by mixing a sample, magnetic particles, an antibody that binds the magnetic particles to a substance in the sample that is to be measured, and a labeled antibody including a labeled substance, where the nozzle has a stationary position;

a measuring unit which quantitatively determines the substance to be measured in the sample, where the measuring unit is directly connected with the nozzle;

a reaction solution/reagent transport mechanism on which a reaction vessel that accommodates the reaction solution, more than one reagent vessel that each accommodates a reagent necessary for analysis, and a nozzle cleaning region are mounted on a retainer, and which integrally transports the reaction vessel, the more than one reagent vessel and the nozzle cleaning region by moving the retainer in accordance with a particular phase of the analysis, such that the reaction solution/reagent transport mechanism transports the reaction solution and the reagent necessary for analysis to a position at which the nozzle is adapted to suck the reaction solution or one of the reagents necessary for analysis;

a cleaning liquid vessel arranged on the circumference of the reaction solution/reagent transport mechanism along with the reaction vessel, the more than one reagent vessel, nozzle cleaning region;

a rotational movement mechanism which rotationally transfers one of the reaction vessel, the more than one reagent vessel, or the nozzle cleaning region mounted on the retainer to a position below the nozzle; and

a vertical movement mechanism which vertically transfers one of the reaction vessel, the more than one reagent vessel, or the nozzle cleaning region to a height at which the nozzle is adapted to suck the liquid,

wherein the rotational movement mechanism and the vertical movement mechanism transfer the retainer in response to the particular phase of the analysis.

7. An automated analyzer comprising:

a nozzle which suction a reagent and a reaction solution generated by mixing a sample, magnetic particles, an antibody that binds the magnetic particles to a substance in the sample that is to be measured, and a labeled antibody including a labeled substance, where the nozzle has a stationary position;

a measuring unit which quantitatively determines the substance to be measured in the sample, where the measuring unit is directly connected with the nozzle;

a reaction solution/reagent transport mechanism on which a reaction vessel that accommodates the reaction solution, more than one reagent vessel that each accommodates a reagent necessary for analysis, and a nozzle cleaning region are mounted on a retainer, and which integrally transports the reaction vessel, the more than one reagent vessel and the nozzle cleaning region by moving the retainer in accordance with a particular phase of the analysis, such that the reaction solution/reagent transport mechanism transports the reaction solution and the reagent necessary for analysis to a position at which the nozzle is adapted to suck the reaction solution or one of the reagents necessary for analysis; and
