Abstract

Cadherin-11 inhibitors, including 4-(2-phenylpyridin-3-yl)phenol, and methods for the prevention and treatment of cadherin-11 related diseases are described herein. Cadherin-11 related diseases include cancer and rheumatoid arthritis.

Claims (4)

1. A compound of the following formula:

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

2. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of claim 1 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

3. A method of inhibiting cadherin-11 activity in a subject, comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of a compound of claim 1 .
