Abstract

A semiconductor integrated circuit device includes a write-read clock control signal generating unit that activates a read clock control signal and a write clock control signal in response to one of a write operational mode and a read operational mode after maintaining the read clock control signal and the write clock control signal at a deactivation state in response to one of an idle mode and a refresh operational mode, and a clock buffer that generates a read clock signal and a write clock signal in response to a clock signal, the read clock control signal, and the write clock control signal.

a reset unit that resets the latch unit by generating a reset signal activated in response to one of an idle mode and a refresh mode.

3. The semiconductor integrated circuit of claim 2 , wherein the idle mode includes a precharge mode and a power down mode.

4. The semiconductor integrated circuit of claim 2 , wherein the latch unit deactivates the read clock control signal and the write clock control signal if the activated reset signal is received, after maintaining the read clock control signal and the write clock control signal at an activation state if the activated command control signal is received.

5. The semiconductor integrated circuit of claim 4 , wherein the latch unit includes a plurality of NAND gates provided in a flip-flop configuration.

6. The semiconductor integrated circuit of claim 1 , wherein the clock buffer includes:

a first combining unit that generates the write clock signal by combining the clock signal and the write clock control signal; and

a second combining unit that generates the read clock signal by combining the clock signal and the read clock control signal.

7. The semiconductor integrated circuit of claim 1 , wherein the latency control unit includes:

a write latency control unit that generates the write latency signal for controlling activation timing of a column-based signal in response to the write clock signal, an internal write command signal, and a write latency signal, while in the write operational mode; and

a read latency control unit that generates the read latency signal for controlling activation timing of the column-based signal in response to the read clock signal, an internal read command signal, and read latency signal, while in the read operational mode.

8. The semiconductor integrated circuit of claim 7 , wherein the write latency signal includes a CAS latency signal and an adaptive latency signal, wherein the read latency signal includes the adaptive latency signal.

9. The semiconductor integrated circuit of claim 1 , wherein the write-read clock control signal generating unit is configured to maintain a previous state of the write clock control signal in response to the read operational mode.
