Abstract

The present invention discloses a flexible transmission device, for transmitting radio-frequency (RF) signals between a first communication module and a second communication module in a communication device. The flexible transmission device includes a flexible substrate; a first metal sheet, formed on the flexible substrate and coupled between ground terminals of the first communication module and the second communication module; a second metal sheet, formed on the flexible substrate and coupled between the ground terminals of the first communication module and the second communication module; and a third metal sheet, formed on the flexible substrate and between the first metal sheet and the second metal sheet, and coupled between signal terminals of the first communication module and the second communication module, for transmitting the RF signals.

Claims (33)

1. A flexible transmission device, for transmitting radio-frequency (RF) signals between a first communication module and a second communication module in a communication device, comprising:

a flexible substrate;

a first metal sheet, formed on the flexible substrate and coupled between ground terminals of the first communication module and the second communication module;

a second metal sheet, formed on the flexible substrate and coupled between the ground terminals of the first communication module and the second communication module; and

a third metal sheet, formed on the flexible substrate and between the first metal sheet and the second metal sheet, and coupled between signal terminals of the first communication module and the second communication module, for transmitting the RF signals.

2. The flexible transmission device of claim 1 , wherein an impedance of the third metal sheet is inversely proportional to a width of the third metal sheet.

3. The flexible transmission device of claim 1 , further comprising:

a first slot, formed between the first signal metal sheet and the third metal sheet; and

a second slot, formed between the second signal metal sheet and the third metal sheet.

4. The flexible transmission device of claim 3 , wherein an impedance of the third metal sheet is inversely proportional to widths of the first slot and the second slot.

5. The flexible transmission device of claim 1 , wherein the first communication module is an antenna.

6. The flexible transmission device of claim 5 , wherein the antenna is formed on the flexible substrate.

7. The flexible transmission device of claim 1 , wherein the second communication module is an RF processing unit for processing the RF signals.

8. The flexible transmission device of claim 1 , wherein the third metal sheet are coupled to the first communication module and the second communication module by soldering.

9. The flexible transmission device of claim 1 , wherein the first metal sheet and the second metal sheet are further coupled between the ground terminals of the first communication module and the second communication module by soldering.

10. A communication device, comprising:

a first communication module;

a second communication module; and

a flexible transmission device, comprising:

a flexible substrate;

a first metal sheet, formed on the flexible substrate and coupled between ground terminals of the first communication module and the second communication module;

a second metal sheet, formed on the flexible substrate and coupled between the ground terminals of the first communication module and the second communication module; and

a third metal sheet, formed on the flexible substrate and between the first metal sheet and the second metal sheet, and coupled between signal terminals of the first communication module and the second communication module, for transmitting the RF signals.

11. The communication device of claim 10 , wherein an impedance of the third metal sheet is inversely proportional to a width of the third metal sheet.

12. The communication device of claim 10 , further comprising:

a first slot, formed between the first signal metal sheet and the third metal sheet; and

a second slot, formed between the second signal metal sheet and the third metal sheet.

13. The communication device of claim 12 , wherein an impedance of the third metal sheet is inversely proportional to widths of the first slot and the second slot.

14. The communication device of claim 10 , wherein the first communication module is an antenna.

15. The communication device of claim 14 , wherein the antenna is formed on the flexible substrate.

16. The communication device of claim 10 , wherein the second communication module is an RF processing unit for processing the RF signals.

17. The communication device of claim 10 , wherein the third metal sheet are coupled to the first communication module and the second communication module by soldering.

18. The communication device of claim 10 , wherein the first metal sheet and the second metal sheet are further coupled between the ground terminals of the first communication module and the second communication module by soldering.
