Method for Facilitating Transactions Between Two or More Parties
The present invention provides a method for facilitating transactions involving one or more intellectual properties. A web site is provided using one or more server computers that have a posting for each of the one or more intellectual properties. The one or more intellectual properties include copyrighted material, such as books, music, videos, television shows, movies, software, applications, games or a combination thereof. A selection of the intellectual properties is received from one or more client communications devices. Public information and one or more terms for a further disclosure of the selected intellectual property are sent to the one or more client communications devices. A request for an additional level of detail about the selected intellectual property is received from the one or more client communications devices. The additional level of detail about the selected intellectual property is provided to the one or more client communications devices.
1 . A method for facilitating transactions involving one or more intellectual properties comprising the steps of:
providing a web site having a posting for each of the one or more intellectual properties using one or more server computers, wherein the one or more intellectual properties comprise copyrighted material;
receiving a selection of one of the one or more intellectual properties from one or more client communications devices;
sending a public information and one or more terms for a further disclosure of the selected intellectual property to the one or more client communications devices;
receiving a request for an additional level of detail about the selected intellectual property from the one or more client communications devices; and
providing the additional level of detail about the selected intellectual property to the one or more client communications devices.
2 . The method as recited in claim 1 , further comprising the steps of:
receiving an acceptance of the one or more terms for the further disclosure of the selected intellectual property from the one or more client communications devices; and
sending the selected intellectual property to the one or more client communications devices.
3 . The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the copyrighted materials comprise books, music, videos, television shows, movies, software, applications, games or a combination thereof
4 . The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the public information comprises a description of the selected intellectual property and a photo of the selected intellectual property.
5 . The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the one or more terms for the further disclosure of the selected intellectual property comprise a payment of a fee, a license agreement, a purchase agreement, or a combination thereof.
6 . The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the further disclosure of the selected intellectual property comprises the selected intellectual property, or a portion of the selected intellectual property.
7 . The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the additional level of detail about the selected intellectual property comprises a graphical content, an audio content, a video content, or a combination thereof
8 . The method as recited in claim 1 , wherein the additional level of detail about the selected intellectual property comprises a portion of the selected intellectual property selected by an owner of the selected intellectual property.
9 . The method as recited in claim 1 , further comprising the step of receiving an account information or a login information for a user from the one or more client communications devices.
10 . The method as recited in claim 1 , further comprising the steps of:
receiving an identity validation information of a user from the one or more client communications devices; and
determining whether the identity validation information of the user is accurate.
11 . The method as recited in claim 1 , further comprising the steps of:
receiving one or more search terms from the one or more client communications devices; and
sending the public information for one or more intellectual properties that are responsive the one or more search terms to the one or more client communications devices.
12 . The method as recited in claim 1 , further comprising the step of sending one or more categories of one or more intellectual properties to the one or more client communications devices that enable a potential buying party to browse the one or more categories of the one or more intellectual properties.
13 . The method as recited in claim 1 , further comprising the step of receiving the public information, the one or more terms for the further disclosure, and at least one of the one or more intellectual properties from an owner of the at least one of the one or more intellectual properties.
14 . The method as recited in claim 1 , further comprising the step of registering an owner of at least one of the one or more intellectual properties.
15 . The method as recited in claim 1 , further comprising the step of registering a user.
16 . The method as recited in claim 15 , wherein the step of registering the user includes receiving an identity validation information for the user.
17 . The method as recited in claim 16 , further comprising the step of determining whether the identity validation information for the user is accurate.
18 . A method for facilitating transactions involving one or more intellectual properties comprising the steps of:
providing a web site having a posting for each of the one or more intellectual properties using one or more server computers, wherein the one or more intellectual properties comprise copyrighted material selected from the group consisting essentially of books, music, videos, television shows, movies, software, applications and games;
receiving a selection of one of the one or more intellectual properties from one or more client communications devices;
sending a public information and one or more terms for a further disclosure of the selected intellectual property to the one or more client communications devices;
receiving a request for an additional level of detail about the selected intellectual property from the one or more client communications devices, wherein the additional level of detail about the selected intellectual property comprises a portion of the selected intellectual property; and
providing the additional level of detail about the selected intellectual property to the one or more client communications devices.
19 . A non-transitory computer readable medium encoded with a computer program for facilitating transactions involving one or more intellectual properties comprising:
a code segment for providing a web site having a posting for each of the one or more intellectual properties using one or more server computers, wherein the one or more intellectual properties comprise copyrighted material;
a code segment for receiving a selection of one of the one or more intellectual properties from one or more client communications devices;
a code segment for sending a public information and one or more terms for a further disclosure of the selected intellectual property to the one or more client communications devices;
a code segment for receiving a request for an additional level of detail about the selected intellectual property from the one or more client communications devices; and
a code segment for providing the additional level of detail about the selected intellectual property to the one or more client communications devices.
20 . The non-transitory computer program as recited in claim 19 , further comprising:
a code segment for receiving an acceptance of the one or more terms for the further disclosure of the selected intellectual property from the one or more client communications devices; and
a code segment for sending the selected intellectual property to the one or more client communications devices.
21 . The non-transitory computer program as recited in claim 19 , wherein the copyrighted materials comprise books, music, videos, television shows, movies, software, applications, games or a combination thereof.
22 . The non-transitory computer program as recited in claim 19 , wherein the public information comprises a description of the selected intellectual property and a photo of the selected intellectual property.
23 . The non-transitory computer program as recited in claim 19 , wherein the one or more terms for the further disclosure of the selected intellectual property comprise a payment of a fee, a license agreement, a purchase agreement, or a combination thereof.
24 . The non-transitory computer program as recited in claim 19 , wherein the further disclosure of the selected intellectual property comprises the selected intellectual property, or a portion of the selected intellectual property.
25 . The non-transitory computer program as recited in claim 19 , wherein the additional level of detail about the selected intellectual property comprises a graphical content, an audio content, a video content, or a combination thereof
26 . The non-transitory computer program as recited in claim 19 , wherein the additional level of detail about the selected intellectual property comprises a portion of the selected intellectual property selected by an owner of the selected intellectual property.
27 . The non-transitory computer program as recited in claim 19 , further comprising a code segment for receiving an account information or a login information for a user from the one or more client communications devices.
28 . The non-transitory computer program as recited in claim 19 , further comprising:
a code segment for receiving one or more search terms from the one or more client communications devices; and
a code segment for sending the public information for one or more intellectual properties that are responsive the one or more search terms to the one or more client communications devices.

The non-transitory computer program as recited in claim 19 , further comprising a code segment for sending one or more categories of one or more intellectual properties to the one or more client communications devices that enable a potential buying party to browse the one or more categories of the one or more intellectual properties.
30 . A non-transitory computer readable medium encoded with a computer program for facilitating transactions involving one or more intellectual properties comprising:
a code segment for providing a web site having a posting for each of the one or more intellectual properties using one or more server computers, wherein the one or more intellectual properties comprise copyrighted material selected from the group consisting essentially of books, music, videos, television shows, movies, software, applications and games;
a code segment for receiving a selection of one of the one or more intellectual properties from one or more client communications devices;
a code segment for sending a public information and one or more terms for a further disclosure of the selected intellectual property to the one or more client communications devices;
a code segment for receiving a request for an additional level of detail about the selected intellectual property from the one or more client communications devices, wherein the additional level of detail about the selected intellectual property comprises a portion of the selected intellectual property; and
a code segment for providing the additional level of detail about the selected intellectual property to the one or more client communications devices.
