Abstract

The invention relates to a heat exchanger for a refrigerant dryer such as a compressed air refrigerant dryer comprising at least one first inflow surface element, past which a fluid to be dried such as compressed air can flow during operation of the heat exchanger, and comprising at least one second inflow surface element, past which a refrigerant fluid can flow as required during operation of the heat exchanger, wherein the first and second inflow surface elements are or can be coupled at least in some areas to at least one cold store chamber that is provided for filling with a cold accumulator medium, and wherein the first and/or second inflow surface element(s) (is) are connected to at least one heat transfer element which extends into the cold store chamber, e.g. penetrates the cold store chamber.

Claims (25)

1. A heat exchanger for a refrigerant dryer, the heat exchanger comprising at least one first inflow surface element, past which a fluid to be dried is guided during operation of the heat exchanger, and at least one second inflow surface element, past which a refrigerant agent is guided during operation of the heat exchanger,

wherein the first and second inflow surface elements are situated to be coupled to at least one cold store chamber provided for filling with a cold accumulator medium, and

wherein at least one of the first and second inflow surface elements is connected to at least one heat transfer element which extends into and penetrates the cold store chamber.

2. The heat exchanger according to claim 1 , wherein the cold store chamber is delimited at least in some areas by at least one of a first flat plate and a second flat plate.

3. The heat exchanger according to claim 2 , wherein at least one of the first and second inflow surface elements is formed at least partially by one of the first and second flat plates; or wherein at least one of the first and second flat plates is formed at least partially by one of the first and second inflow surface elements.

4. The heat exchanger according to claim 2 , wherein the at least one heat transfer element is soldered to at least one of the first and second inflow surface elements, and respectively to at least one of the first and second flat plates.

5. The heat exchanger according to claim 2 , wherein a distance of any point within the cold store chamber to a next one of the at least one heat transfer element is closer than a plate distance between the first and second flat plates.

6. The heat exchanger according to claim 2 , wherein the at least one heat transfer element comprises at least two sections extending in parallel and spaced from each other by a heat transfer distance, wherein the at least two sections extend essentially perpendicular to at least one of the first and second flat plates, wherein the heat transfer distance is less than a mean plate distance between the first and second flat plates, and wherein a ratio of the mean plate distance to the heat transfer distance is at least two.

7. The heat exchanger according to claim 6 , wherein the ratio of the mean plate distance to the heat transfer distance is at least 4.

8. The heat exchanger according to claim 6 , wherein the ratio of the mean plate distance to the heat transfer distance is at least 3.

9. The heat exchanger according claim 2 , further comprising a connection surface between at least one of the first inflow surface element, the second inflow surface element, the first flat plate, and the second flat plate and the at least one heat transfer element, the connection surface constituting at least 10% of a surface oriented in a direction of the cold store chamber of the first and second inflow surface elements, respectively the first and second flat plates.

10. The heat exchanger according to claim 9 , wherein the connection surface constitutes at least 20% of the surface oriented in the direction of the cold store chamber of the first and second inflow surface elements.

11. The heat exchanger of claim 9 , wherein the connection surface is formed as a solder connection surface.

12. The heat exchanger according to claim 2 , further comprising a gas-gas area configured to allow heat exchange between a fluid to be dried and an at least partially dried fluid.

13. The heat exchanger according to claim 12 , wherein at least one of the first and second flat plates extends at least partially through the gas-gas area and a gas refrigerant agent area for exchanging heat between the fluid to be dried and the refrigerant agent and is in contact with the fluid to be dried.

14. The heat exchanger according to claim 12 , further comprising a separating plate extending between the refrigerant agent and the accumulator medium and at least in some sections also across the gas-gas area.

15. The heat exchanger according to claim 2 , further comprising a refrigerant agent tube bent in a meander shape and soldered between the first and second flat plates, and wherein the at least one cold store chamber comprises a cold accumulator subspace disposed between each bend in the tube.

16. The heat exchanger according to claim 2 , further comprising at least one refrigerant agent guiding means disposed between at least the first and second flat plates, wherein the first and second flat plates are soldered to the at least one heat transfer element.

17. The heat exchanger according to claim 1 , further comprising at least two cold store chambers disposed in fluid connection with at least one collecting device, wherein the at least one collecting device is attached to an external portion of the heat exchanger.

18. The heat exchanger according to claim 1 , wherein at least one of the first and second inflow surface elements is formed at least partially by a duct wall section.

19. The heat exchanger according to claim 18 , wherein the duct wall section is a tubular section.

20. The heat exchanger according to claim 1 , wherein the fluid to be dried is

compressed air.

21. The heat exchanger of claim 1 , wherein the fluid to be dried is a compressed gaseous fluid.

22. A refrigerant dryer comprising a heat exchanger according to claim 1 .
