Spray Gun with Interchangeable Handle Grips
A spray gun has a spray gun body with at least one fluid input port. A nozzle is removably affixed to the spray gun body and valves are in fluid communication between each of the at least one fluid input ports and the nozzle. A trigger is movably attached to the spray gun body and is operatively coupled to the valves such that operation of the trigger opens each of the valves and fluid flows from the at least one fluid input port through the valves to the nozzle. Included are at least two pairs of handle grips. Each of the at least two pairs of handle grips are of a different size, each size corresponding to a hand size, and one of the at least two pairs of handle grips is removable affixed to the spray gun body.
1 . A spray gun comprising:
a spray gun body,
at least one fluid input port on the spray gun body;
a nozzle removably affixed to the spray gun body;
at least one valve in fluid communication between each of the at least one fluid input ports and the nozzle;
a trigger, the trigger movably attached to the spray gun body, the trigger operatively coupled to the at least one valve such that operation of the trigger opens each of the at least one valve and fluid flows from the at least one fluid input port through the at least one valve to the nozzle;
at least two pairs of handle grips, each of the at least two pairs of handle grips of a different size, each different size corresponding to a hand size;
whereas one of the at least two pairs of handle grips is removable affixed to the spray gun body.
2 . The spray gun of claim 1 , wherein a first pair of handle grips of the at least two pairs of handle grips is sized for a larger hand and a second pair of handle grips of the at least two pairs of handle grips is sized for a smaller hand.
3 . The spray gun of claim 1 , wherein the handle grips are removably affixed to the spray gun body by at least one fastener.
4 . The spray gun of claim 3 , wherein the at least one fastener is at least one screw.
5 . A method of spraying comprising:
providing spray gun comprising:
a spray gun body,
at least one fluid input port on the spray gun body;
a nozzle removably affixed to the spray gun body;
at least one valve in fluid communication between each of the at least one fluid input ports and the nozzle;
a trigger, the trigger movably attached to the spray gun body, the trigger operatively coupled to the at least one valve such that operation of the trigger opens each of the at least one valve and fluid flows from the at least one fluid input port through the at least one valve to the nozzle;
at least two pairs of handle grips, each of the at least two pairs of handle grips of a different size, each different size corresponding to a hand size;
removably affixing a first pair of handle grips of the at least two pairs of handle grips to the spray gun body;
connecting each of the at least one fluid input port on the spray gun body to a source of pressurized fluid;
operating the trigger, thereby releasing the pressurized fluids through the nozzle for application on a target product;
releasing the trigger, thereby abating the release of the pressurized fluids through the nozzle;
removing the first pair of handle grips of the at least two pairs of handle grips from the spray gun body;
removably affixing a second pair of handle grips of the at least two pairs of handle grips to the spray gun body;
operating the trigger, thereby releasing the pressurized fluids through the nozzle for application on a target product; and
releasing the trigger, thereby abating the release of the pressurized fluids through the nozzle.
6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein a first pair of handle grips of the at least two pairs of handle grips is sized for a larger hand and a second pair of handle grips of the at least two pairs of handle grips is sized for a smaller hand.
7 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the handle grips are removably affixed to the spray gun body by at least one fastener.
8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the at least one fastener is at least one screw.
9 . A spray gun comprising:
a spray gun handle;
a spray gun head attached to the spray gun handle;
a resin input port interfaced to the spray gun head;
a catalyst input port interfaced to the spray gun head;
an air input port interfaced to the spray gun head;
a nozzle removably affixed to the spray gun head;
a single-input valve in the spray gun head, the single-input valve in fluid communication between the resin input port and the nozzle;
a dual-input valve in the spray gun head, a first input of the dual-input valve in fluid communication with the catalyst input port, a second input of the dual-input valve in fluid communication with the air input port, an output of the dual-input valve in fluid communication with the nozzle;
a trigger, the trigger movably attached to the spray gun handle, the trigger operatively coupled to both the single-input valve and to the dual-input valve such that operation of the trigger opens both the single-input valve and the dual-input valve and, responsive to the operation of the trigger, resin flows from the resin input port through the single-input valve to the nozzle, catalyst flows from the catalyst input port through the dual-input valve to the nozzle, and air flows from the air input port through the dual-input valve to the nozzle;
at least two pairs of handle grips, each of the at least two pairs of handle grips of a different size, each different size corresponding to a hand size;
whereas one of the at least two pairs of handle grips is removable affixed to the spray gun handle.
10 . The spray gun of claim 9 , wherein a first pair of handle grips of the at least two pairs of handle grips is sized for a larger hand and a second pair of handle grips of the at least two pairs of handle grips is sized for a smaller hand.
11 . The spray gun of claim 9 , wherein the handle grips are removably affixed to the spray gun handle by at least one fastener.
12 . The spray gun of claim 11 , wherein the at least one fastener is at least one screw.
