A new and distinct cultivar of Lagerstroemia plant named ‘PIILAG B5’, characterized by its compact, upright, intermediate growth habit, reddish new growth, lustrous dark green foliage in summer, red flowers, and resistance to powdery mildew and Cercospora leaf spot.
