ENHANCED MULTI-TAB CO-BROWSING BETWEEN ONE OR MORE OPERATORS AND ONE OR MORE VISITORS
Apparatuses, computer readable mediums, and methods of co-browsing between a visitor and an operator are disclosed. The method may include on a condition that an event associated with a tab is received, handling the event. The method may include on a condition of receiving a user interface event or a webpage data update from the visitor, handling the user interface event or received webpage data update. Another method may include on a condition of an operator becoming active, sending webpage data regarding an active tab for visitors. The method may include receiving a webpage data update associated with the active tab from a first visitor. The method may include storing the webpage data update based on the first visitor and the active tab. The method may include sending an indication of the webpage data update to the operator with an indication of the active tab and of the first visitor.
1 . A method of co-browsing between one or more visitors and an operator, the method comprising:
in response to the operator becoming active with a first web application,
sending webpage data regarding an active tab for each of the one or more visitors to the operator, wherein the active tab is for a second web application;
receiving a webpage data update associated with the active tab from a first visitor of the one or more visitors;
storing the webpage data update based on the first visitor and the active tab; and
sending an indication of the webpage data update to the operator with an indication of the active tab and an indication of the first visitor.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
synchronizing the webpage data update into a current webpage data of the tab for the first visitor; and wherein sending comprises:
sending the synchronized current webpage data of the tab for the first visitor.
3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
adapting the webpage data update from a first web application interface of the first visitor to a second web application interface of the operator; and wherein sending comprises:
sending the adapted webpage data update to the operator with the indication of the tab and the indication of the first visitor.
4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
in response to receiving an indication from the operator to co-browse with the first visitor,
sending an indication of an active tab of the first visitor to the operator,
sending instructions to the first visitor to display a visitor communications area, wherein the visitor communication area includes an area for the visitor and an area for the operator, and
sending instructions to the operator to display an operator communication area, wherein the operator communication area includes an area for the visitor and an area for the operator.
5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
in response to receiving an indication that the operator is monitoring the first visitor,
sending a current webpage data for an active tab of the first visitor to the operator.
6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein sending further comprises:
for each tab of the first visitor, sending the current webpage data; and
sending an indication of an active tab.
7 . A method of co-browsing between a visitor and an operator, the method comprising:
in response to an event associated with a tab,
updating the tab based on the event to generate an updated tab, generating a first webpage data update indicating the difference between the tab and the updated tab, and
sending the first webpage data update to the operator; and
in response to receiving a user interface event or a second webpage data update from the operator,
updating the tab based on the user interface event or the second webpage data update from the operator.
8 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising:
on a condition of receiving the user interface event or the second webpage data update from the operator when the first webpage data update is not implemented by the operator,
determining based on a precedence between the operator and the visitor whether to restore the updated tab to the tab, and update the tab based on the user interface event or the second webpage data update, or to discard the user interface event or the second webpage data update.
9 . The method of claim 7 , wherein updating the tab further comprises:
sending a request to a custom website based on the event, wherein the request is sent directly to the custom website.
10 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising:
adapting the first webpage data update for the operator, wherein adapting comprises adapting the first webpage data update according to a first web browsing application of the visitor to a second web browsing application of the operator.
11 . The method of claim 7 , wherein updating further comprises:
generating a second webpage data update indicating the difference between the tab and the updated tab, and
sending the second webpage data update to the operator.
12 . A method of co-browsing between a visitor and an operator, the method comprising:
in response to an event associated with a tab,
handling the event; and
in response to receiving a user interface event or a webpage data update from the visitor,
handling the user interface event or received webpage data update.
13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein handling the event further comprises:
sending a UI events with an indication of the event associated with the tab to a visitor;
receiving from the visitor a second webpage data update indicating a second update to the active tab based on the event; and
updating the active tab based on the second webpage data update.
14 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising:
adapting the second webpage data update for the operator, wherein adapting comprises adapting the second webpage data update according to a first web browsing application of the operator to a second web browsing application of the visitor.
15 . The method of claim 12 , wherein handling the event further comprises:
updating the tab based on the event to generate an updated tab;
generating a first webpage data update indicating the difference between the tab and the updated tab; and
sending the first webpage data update to the operator.
16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein updating the tab further comprises:
sending a request to a custom website based on the event, wherein the request is sent directly to the custom website.
17 . The method of claim 12 , wherein handling the user interface event or the received webpage data update further comprises:
updating the tab based on the user interface event to generate an updated tab;
generating a second webpage data update indicating the difference between the tab and the updated tab; and
sending the second webpage data update to the visitor.
18 . The method of claim 12 , wherein handling the user interface event or the received webpage data update further comprises:
updating the tab based on the received webpage data update.
19 . The method of claim 12 , further comprising:
on a condition of receiving the user interface event or the received webpage data update from the visitor when the event associated with the tab has not yet been handled,
determining based on a precedence between the operator and the visitor whether to handle the event, or to handle the received user interface event or the received webpage data update.
20 . The method of claim 12 , further comprising:
in response to receiving a second webpage data update from the visitor indicating a second update to a new tab, updating the new tab based on the second webpage data update and switching a web interface application to the new tab.
