System and method for a supported architectural design
A supported architectural structure is presented. A plurality of primary supports configured to couple with one or more architectural structures. A plurality of flexible fins, where at least one of the plurality of flexible fins includes an inner edge and an outer edge, where the inner edge includes a plurality of attachment points. A plurality of secondary supports configured to couple with the plurality of primary supports, where at least one of the secondary supports includes a plurality of fin slots configured to couple with the plurality of attachment points.
1. A supported architectural structure comprising:
a plurality of coplanar fin support members in a substantially parallel configuration, wherein each one of said plurality of coplanar fin support members is directly coupled to a coplanar primary support structure in a substantially perpendicular configuration, each one of said plurality of fin support members including a plurality of fin slots, wherein a fin slot runs substantially across a width of a fin support member;
a plurality of fins, each one of said plurality of fins having an inner edge and an outer edge, said inner edge comprising one or more attachment points configured to couple to one of said plurality of fin slots, wherein each of said plurality of attachment points comprises at least one hole configured to receive one or more couplers, wherein said one or more couplers is configured to secure said plurality of fins to said plurality of fin support members in said plurality of fin slots; and
one or more couplers removably coupling each one of said plurality of fins to at least one or more of said plurality of fin support members at said one or more attachment points.
2. The supported architectural design system of claim 1 , wherein said primary support structure is a ceiling structure of a room.
3. The supported architectural design system of claim 1 , wherein said primary support structure comprises a plurality of primary support members.
