Abstract

One or more auctions of a seller are monitored. An interface is provided that includes auction event information for each of the one or more auctions of the seller. As an example, the auction event information can include a top bid, and an indication as to whether a reserve price has been met. Predictive information is determined for each of the one or more auctions of the seller. Information is displayed based on the predictive information using the interface. The displayed information can indicate a probability as to whether the auction will be successful.

Claims (28)

1 . A method for conducting an auction in an online environment, the method being implemented by one or more processors and comprising:

monitoring one or more auctions for a seller;

providing an interface that includes auction event information for each of the one or more auctions of the seller, auction event information including a top bid, and an indication as to whether a reserve price has been met; and

determining predictive information for each of the one or more auctions of the seller;

displaying information based on the predictive information using the interface, the information indicating a probability as to whether the auction will be successful.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein determining the predictive information includes determining a probability the reserve price of the auction will be met by at least the top bid.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein determining the predictive information includes determining a sample reserve price of the auction, and a probability that the sample reserve price will be met by at least the top bid.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein determining the predictive information includes determining a recommended reserve price for the auction, and wherein displaying information includes displaying the recommended reserve price.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein determining the predictive information includes analyzing profile information for one or more of (i) a set of bidders of the auction, and/or (ii) an asset of the auction.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein determining the predictive information includes analyzing profile information of one or more bidders of the auction in order to determine an assessment of each of the one or more bidders, and wherein displaying information includes displaying information corresponding to the assessment of the one or more bidders.

7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the assessment corresponds to a score or rating that indicates a probability of one or more of (i) a corresponding one of the one or more bidders will bid over the reserve, and/or (ii) a corresponding one of the one or more bidders will win the auction and fail to complete the transaction.

8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising enabling the user to provide input through the interface to lower a reserve price of each of the one or more auctions of the seller.

9 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising enabling the user to provide input through the interface to generate one or more seller bids.

10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the interface corresponds to a dashboard.

11 . A non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions that, when executed one or more processors, cause a computer system of the one or more processor to perform operations that comprise:

monitoring one or more auctions for a seller;

providing an interface that includes auction event information for each of the one or more auctions of the seller, auction event information including a top bid, and an indication as to whether a reserve price has been met; and

determining predictive information for each of the one or more auctions of the seller;

displaying information based on the predictive information using the interface, the information indicating a probability as to whether the auction will be successful.

12 . The computer-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein instructions for determining the predictive information includes instructions for determining a probability the reserve price of the auction will be met by at least the top bid.

13 . The computer-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein instructions for determining the predictive information includes instructions for determining a sample reserve price of the auction, and a probability that the sample reserve price will be met by at least the top bid.

14 . The computer-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein instructions for determining the predictive information includes instructions for determining a recommended reserve price for the auction, and wherein instructions for displaying information includes instructions for displaying the recommended reserve price.

15 . The computer-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein instructions for determining the predictive information includes instructions for analyzing profile information for one or more of (i) a set of bidders of the auction, and/or (ii) an asset of the auction.

16 . The computer-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein instructions for determining the predictive information includes instructions for analyzing profile information of one or more bidders of the auction in order to determine an assessment of each of the one or more bidders, and wherein instructions for displaying information includes instructions for displaying information corresponding to the assessment of the one or more bidders.

17 . The computer-readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the assessment corresponds to a score or rating that indicates a probability of one or more of (i) a corresponding one of the one or more bidders will bid over the reserve, and/or (ii) a corresponding one of the one or more bidders will win the auction and fail to complete the transaction.

18 . The computer-readable medium of claim 11 , further comprising instructions for enabling the user to provide input through the interface to lower a reserve price of each of the one or more auctions of the seller.

19 . The computer-readable medium of claim 11 , further comprising instructions for enabling the user to provide input through the interface to generate one or more seller bids.

20 . The computer-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein the interface corresponds to a dashboard.
