Floorboards for floorings
Floorboards for making a floating floor have a core ( 30 ) which includes at least two layers of material (L 1 , L 2 ), which are arranged at different distances from the surface layer ( 31 ), and which differ in respect of material properties or material composition. Semi manufactures for making such floorboards are also disclosed.
1. A set of floorboards for making a floating flooring, said floorboards having a core and a surface layer arranged on an upper side of the core, the surface layer being one of wood, veneer, decorative paper or plastic sheeting, wherein the core has at least two layers of material arranged at different distances from the surface layer, the at least two layers of material differ from each other with respect to at least one of composition of material and material properties, wherein the at least two layers of material comprise an upper first layer of a wood-fiber-based material and a lower second layer that is directly attached to the wood-fiber-based material, wherein each floorboard is provided with a mechanical joint system comprising a tongue and a groove for connecting adjacent floorboards in a vertical direction perpendicular to said surface layer, wherein the mechanical joint system is provided in the lower second layer and at least the tongue and the groove are provided completely within the lower second layer so that the tongue and the groove are formed of a single layer of material.
2. The set of floorboards as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the mechanical joint system further comprises a locking element and a locking groove for connecting adjacent floorboards in a horizontal direction.
3. The set of floorboards as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the upper first layer and the lower second layer are glued together.
4. The set of floorboards as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the surface layer is decorative paper and the decorative paper is impregnated with thermosetting resin.
5. The set of floorboards as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the surface layer is veneer.
6. The set of floorboards as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a thickness of the floorboards is 6-12 mm.
7. The set of floorboards as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the lower second layer is of a wood-fiber-based material.
8. The set of floorboards as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the core is provided with a balancing layer.
