Abstract

The invention provides a compound of Formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the compound, wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are as described herein; pharmaceutical compositions thereof; and the use thereof in treating diseases, conditions or disorders modulated by the inhibition of an acetyl-CoA carboxylase enzyme(s) in an animal.

1. A compound of structure

or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

3. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of claim 1 , or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient, diluent or carrier.

4. A method for treating or delaying the progression or onset of Type 2 diabetes in a human comprising the step of administering to the human in need of such treatment a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of claim 1 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.

5. A method for treating or delaying the progression or onset of Type 2 diabetes in a human comprising the step of administering to the human in need of such treatment the pharmaceutical composition of claim 3 .
